If you live in Eugene...
What neighborhood do you live in? We live in Cottage Grove right now but are planning to buy in Eugene by July. I want to get opinions on neighborhoods in Eugene. We have 2 dogs and are going to start TTC in April. DH's co-workers say to live in South Eugene. Thanks for any input.

Hi Sixlette! Sorry I'm lurking on this side looking for an update on the_jen626 and saw your post.
When I lived in Eugene the areas we considered safe were Goodpasture Island and the South Hills (South Eugene). Goodpasture has cameras all over to keep the bums out, private parks and river trail. South Hills is beautiful, a bit pricey though and not a lot sunlight because of all the trees around.
Also check out, some of the Coburg and River Road areas. Less expensive with lots of new development going on.
