Things to do this weekend?
H and I are thinking about driving to SA (from Del Rio) tomorrow. We thought they might be lighting the tree by Alamo and would like a little holiday cheer. Anyone know if that's true and if there are any other fun things happening this weekend?

Christmas Tree Lighting
? November 28th in Alamo Plaza, 6:00 pm ? 7:00 pm. Sponsored by the City of San Antonio, for details call 207-3677.
It's followed by the lighting of the Riverwalk. There's probably a lot of holiday stuff out though down there so it can kind of get you in the spirit.
I think there's a craft fair or something at the Freeman, but don't really know of anything else going on this weekend. You can get lots of early shopping done if you want!
Oh - I'm assuming from the pic too that your DH is in the AF down there. One of my friends just moved down there to be with her FI. She posts on the Knot all the time - emilyr08 in case you guys know eachother. Her FI's name is Jordan.
I think in New Braunfels/Gruene they are having their market days and whatnot.....not sure what else is going on.
Oh well, thanks for telling me about the tree lighting. I guess this won't be the most exciting weekend for holiday cheer. I thought it seemed odd to do all that before Thanksgiving ... thanks for the heads-up!
