Re: Weekend
This weekend is a pretty big weekend for us. I'm not sure how much rest I will actually be getting but you know.
Tonight we will scrub our house from top to bottom, so that when Julie's OCD mom comes on Sunday she'll have nothing to complain about. :-)
Saturday, I am heading over to Vancouver for a quilt show w/ J's grandma and my beloved SIL. It should be a lot of fun. That night we are scrubbing J's brothers and wife's house. Then I'm coming home, and finishing up my project.
Sunday, we pick up J's mom from the airport, and we head over to Saturday Market. (It's on Sunday's too). We will probably spend a prolonged amount of time there. Then we head back to my place for tea, and gossip. :-) I'm pretty excited about it all.
This evening we have to go to a "Harvest Party" for my office. Not really looking forward to it and neither is T. Not sure what we will do afterwards my brothers band is playing at my favorite bar this weekend so thats a possibility. Saturday we are going to have a thrift store day, we need a new dining room table for Thanksgiving (i lost my gorgeous table to my ex ugh) money is tight so i'm hoping to find something suitable for a cheap price and then i can dress it up and make it work. Sunday we will probably pic the kids up from their dads early and try to go do something fun with them since they will be with their dad over Thanksgiving.
we are going out to dinner tonight and then to the play the girl I nanny for is in (ugh). Sat I am going to take the holiday pics of a friends kids and then she is having a silpada jewelry party.
Sunday I think I need to spend som serious time correcting so that the test I gave today is done before thanksgiving break.
Looks like lots of busy weekends.
Rikki, good luck with J's mom and the house cleaning. I understand how that is... Trav's mom is definitely OCD about cleaning too.
As for us... a busy, but fun weekend ahead. Tonight we have nothing except for relaxing at home and cleaning up a bit for Saturday.
Tomorrow we're heading up to Lehigh early to visit with some alumni and for a meeting Trav has to attend. Its the big rivalry football weekend at our school, so lots of people are in.
After that we're doing a mock Thanksgiving at our house with our best friends. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, the works. It's our trial run for Thursday.
Sunday we have no plans at the moment. Relaxing, I'll probably walk, cleaning up from the mock-giving.
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD
Bloggity Blog - You know you want to...
i'm going home from work and taking a nice long bath. in fact, i think i may call when i'm leaving work and ask c to start drawing it for me so i can just get home and climb right in. that would be so nice. she told me i should take one last night, but by the time she left for work and i finished the homework i was doing...well, i didn't. other than that i have no idea what tonight's plan is. homework, probably, if c doesn't have anything on the agenda for us.
tomorrow afternoon is the Big Game here so we might be getting together with friends to watch it, even though she couldn't care less and i have a million things to do before the end of the quarter. there's also a hockey game tomorrow evening. i'll probably put it on and try to pay as little attention as possible while i write.
she's working overtime both nights, so i'll use the time after she leaves to get more done on some school things. i'll probably also spend most of sunday on schoolwork.
No idea what we'll do tonight. Probably go to dinner with the kids and then catch up on DVR stuff.
Saturday we'll clean the house from top to bottom and then take the kids to Gymboree. After their nap, their godfather and his girlfriend are coming over to hang out and play.
Sunday we are trying (yet another) church. In the afternoon we'll probably do some errands (grocery store and Costco) and play outside with the kids (if it isn't too cold.)
I think this will be a pretty quiet weekend. We may visit with friends. I have to triple check that I have all the ingredients I need for turkey day and work on our holiday cards. Wow, we are boring LOL :-)
Song: If you don't find the table you want, you might consider a regular long folding table. We got one for Thanksgiving a few years back when we found out how long it would take to get the table we wanted delivered. Covered with a nice table cloth, no one noticed the plastic/metal contraption underneath. ;-) Just make sure the table is an appropriate height for your chairs...
2brides: I don't know if you are looking at MCCs or not, but if you're interested, I'd be happy to share our experiences at some of the area ones (New Covenant in Laurel, Holy Redeemer in College Park, and MCC-DC). Feel free to email me: twb2008 at gmail.com. Good luck with your search!
As for us... Our weekend to-do list was a mile long before we even got to the weekend *sigh*. Tons of errands, yardwork, and cleaning will suck up our time. Luckily, we both had Friday off, and we took the extra day to relax and watch a movie (rare in our household).
