In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Thank you.

Re: AmandaMqn

  • He is still recovering in the hospital. He was sedated in the ICU for 3 weeks and the doctors found stage 3 colon cancer. They told us if he survived taking out the breathing tube that he would be a vegetable but not only did he survive, he is far from a vegetable! He suffered brain damage and we're going to have to rehab him but we don't mind that at all. He can walk and talk very slowly and he doesn't seem to know who we are all the time. He comes and goes but he's alive and for that we are very grateful.

The cancer has spread and we are waiting to start treatment until we know more. They suspect it might have spread to his brain, thus causing the strokes but they aren't 100% sure. We should know more soon though.

It's been hell. He requires constant care and can't be left alone. It is so hard to diaper the man that has always been a hero to me but I don't mind doing it. I am just so happy that he is alive. I'm still in Houston and I really, really miss AR!
