Leaving in an hour to drive to the In Laws to Delaware - Yuck on the drive but yay for hanging with my two SILs - we had a really great chance to get to know each other during my wedding weekend, so we've been looking forward to this big time the last couple of weeks.
I'm making nothing due to the drive, but I'm hosting my sister and BIL for a small drama free Christmas, so I'll have my work cut out for me.
We're playing it by ear. My BIL invited us to his house - but there will be 23 people there. If any of them have signs of a cold, I can't go. So, everyone is going to call in their family's status and hopefully we'll go there. If someone is sick, DH and I will stay home and have an intimate Turkey Day with the kitties!
Also, I got a "pardon" from my sodium restriction (as long as I don't go crazy) for Thanksgiving - so I can eat! I am not planning to bring anything - because SIL can't count on it actually coming, she said forget it. (In a nice way!)
And Sarah - I loooooove the crab muffin appetizers! mmm...
We are heading to my moms! I don't know that I could ever handle hosting- mad craziness!

I am very much looking forward to a day off of nothing. We have been go go go and I just need a break..... I am thankful for that!

We get off soo easy. All holidays spent with my family are done at my grandmother's (where we're going this year). She cooks for ~25 inc. aunts/uncles/cousins. I'm bringing a pecan pie (made by my work, I can't even take credit!) and I'm thinking of making an app or another dessert.

and will probably bring some sugar cookies too
We are doing dinner at my parents and then dessert with his family... ironically, I am responsible for bringing dessert to my family dinner, and I won't be around to eat it!
I'm hoping that next year, once we have a house and have a full size stove, I can take over Thanksgiving and we can have at least one holiday that does not involve trekking all over southern nh and northern ma!

we're leaving tomorrow afternoon to my IL's in Lubec ME im bringing the baby lol and all her stuff seriusly it will be the first time weve travled any where with her and she has more bags than me and dh and her sister put together!!!
