Lisaaaaaaaaaa!!!

I so was going to attempt the turkey pops too, but figured without Rob around to help with Jack it might be a little over ambitious for me!  I am dying to see how yours come out!!!  You must post a pic!!  What kind of cake did you end up doing?  I decided on Paula's Pumpkin Gingerbread Trifle!  I have never made ginger bread and it smells sooooo good!

Re: Lisaaaaaaaaaa!!!

  • Mmmmmm - pumpkin gingerbread trifle sounds amazing!!! I usually make gingerbread stuffing for thanksgiving (a-la Nigella), which is just awesome (it has bacon and orange in it - ugh love the stuff and it tastes awesome with turkey)...but it's too much to keep warm and bring to my parents this year, with Austin in tow...I love anything with gingerbread in it (especially around the holidays) - you'll have to let me know how it works out!!

The turkey pops came out great! See my photo album I am really very impressed with myself :) I used chocolate devils food cake to make them, but you can use any kind :)

  • They are just super adorable girl!  Love em!  I was thinking of doing spice cake with cream cheese frosting...did you see the blue ones?  I am so making those for Rob instead of the Blue velvet ones I saw, he is a University of Illinois Alum so blue and orange are his colors!  I also have seen someone make the ones that look mor elike real cupcakes(on a stick) using a peanut butter cup candy mold for the base...bakerella had a pic os something similar, but it wasn't her blog....someone had step by step directions!!!  You know what would be so cute?  Xmas ornaments!
  • Bakerella does have some version of the peanut butter cup thingy...oh that would be fun for Rob!! :) Christmas ornaments would be totally cute! You can virtually do anything with them - make any animal, dinosaur, baseball, basketball, football (if you mold it), baby heads for a baby shower (they sell little candy pacifiers you can use), santa heads, snowman heads, bride and groom heads - the list goes on!
