Shopping Black Friday?

When are you going (time, not date).

Where do you plan on stopping?

After any big ticket items?

Re: Shopping Black Friday?

  • I am shopping on Friday but I don't have the answers to your questions.  My sister and I plan our attack on Thursday evening.
  • To answer my own question.  We may or may not go out.  We aren't big into Black Friday.  We went a couple years ago to get our TV and last year his family wanted to go to the outlets (which by 9am were not bad at all and still many deals to be had).

I'm toying with the idea of going to the outlets again, if not I will probably hit Michaels or Joanns for some scrapbook stuff with the additional 20% off entire purchase coupon.

  • Alicia, JoAnns is the only store I plan on hitting Friday as well.  The 20% off coupon on top of the 60% off my item that day makes it under $10 bucks and well worth the wait in line.  I always bring my ipod to drown out the nonsense and make line waiting easier.  Joanns always understaffs on BF though, which sucks!  Never try to get material cut on BF, ever!  2 people working the cutting desk.  Ugh!

ooohhh, on top of 60% off???? Where did you see an ad?  I'm hoping some of the paper crafting stuff is on sale but I can't find an ad to see.   I don't plan on going early.   The coupon is good till noon so if that is where I go I will wait until 10:30 or so.

  • Not sure yet!  I need to see tomorrow's flyers to see if it is worth it

  • I got it early in my mailbox (mailing list people).  Lots of items 50 and 60% off, and you can use 20% off on top of any discount...or at least I have in past.

I will end up getting 2 20% off coupons, so I always try to give someone in line one that may not have one.

  • If I do any shopping Friday, it will be online from home. I'm a wimp; I can't handle all the Black Friday 2 a.m. doorbuster excitement. LOL
  • I shopped my first Black Friday last year - loved it! My husband lost his job this past week, so I won't be doing much shopping this year. If you're looking for previews of the ads, check out www.bradsdeals.com

     Have fun!!!!!!!!

  • I am planning to go. We don't have very many gifts left to buy except for our moms and whatever other good deals. We are thinking of doing the midnight madness at the outlets and getting the free PJs and we'll see what other ads strike us as worth it LOL!
  • Most of my shopping has been done online this year. This way I can find the perfect gift. I tried black friday once in orlando a few years ago and could not handle the madness.
  • I almost never go shopping on Black Friday. I start my Christmas shopping, usually around October, and I just pick up things that I find throughout the months before December. I find it less stressful (avoiding the crowds!) and much more fun that way!

  • why are you shopping alicia? aren't you so insane about your money that you have to budget every single morsel of food?
  • I normally go out on Black Friday, but this year the sales aren't that great, and it'd be too difficult to navigate the crowds with a little one, so we're skipping it.
  • Joannes is the first place I am going on Friday, then Michaels!!! You scrapbook, so do I!! I have been scrapbooking for at least 8 years now. I haven't seen the Black Friday ad for Michaels yet. Joannes has the Cricuit cartridges for $37!!! I already know which 2 I want!!
  • I'll be working BF this year, but that's OK. I've been shopping on BF before, but never that 4:00 AM standing  in line crap - not for me.

I get email alerts from a BF website that tell you all the good online deals. Last year I got a GPS from BestBuy for an amazing price.
