It seems like we are all feeling the new Nest and I don't want all this posting to stop! Can I propose that we do regular daily posts? We do them on Fridays with the What Are You Reading and Confessions posts. It sort of feels a little weird to suggest doing them more regularly, but it seems like some people look forward to them and we get more participation. I think we used to have a few more, but they've kind of petered out.

What do you guys think? Totally lame or is it a reasonable idea? Suggestions?

I think each day should have a different discussion post. If we do the weekly ones more regularly, I feel like there would be a lot of the same responses for WAYR or Confessions. Was that what you were suggesting?

Thursdays have Randoms. Mondays have Weekend Reading Update. Maybe we need something for Tuesday and Wednesday?

I like it! I can do a "Wacky Wednesday" Poll. I could post a very short, random subject, easy to answer poll on Wednesdays to mix things up and help us get to know each other. Or do we want to keep things strictly book-related?

Yes, different ones for each day. Even more than one a day if people want it!

I agree with Pinky, I like what's for lunch and things like that too. It sparks conversation!

I love the wacky Wednesday idea, @sfgiantsjo !

We could do Throw back Tuesday. I know it's usually Thursday. We could add an addition one to Thursday instead if that works better.

I like this idea. I know of a board on TB that does "5 things thursday." I think it is just five random facts about yourself/whats going on in your life.

We do this on my local bumpie FB board. We have Motivational Mondays (what you want to accomplish this week), WYAR Tuesdays, Hump-Day Wednesdays (Sex & romance related posts), AW Thursdays (anything you want to AW) and Foto-Fridays (themed Foto posts).

I thought about doing a Gross Confessions, but I don't know that anyone would participate or if we were trying to keep in "clean". I know you can choose not to open the post and all, but I don't really want to change the board dynamic with something like that either if it isn't welcome.

@elistar I like the sex/romance one. People love juicy details. ;;)

On my month board on The Knot we used to do WTF Wednesdays. Maybe we could do that in addition to Wacky Wednesday Poll. It was really just where you would post a random rant for the day. We did To Do Tuesday, which I suppose isn't as necessary if you aren't wedding planning.

All in all though I think its a good idea. It keeps people coming back.

On my BMB, there are WTF Wednesdays, Open Letter Thursdays and FFFC. It, I think, turns our board into a pretty negative space, just a place to complain about stupid stuff.

I LOVE the foto idea and 5 things list idea and the other ones that aren't super negative. I think doing confessions and Randoms is fine, but much more than that and we're just hanging around talking about things we hate or people that annoy us or whatever.

I HATE that. We don't do those on my home board for that same reason. It just gets too heated.

We've done Open Letters here and I don't think it gets that negative. Maybe we could do it on a monthly rather than a weekly basis.

This is not really a day specific thing....but on my local board after we got a bunch of new members we did a GTKY day for each person...we signed up for days. We had like a set 20 questions or something that were general GTKY questions and then followed up with an AMA. So the GTKY Person of the Day would post their answers to the set basic questions and the rest of the board would post AMA questions onto that post. It was kinda fun.

Kinda/kinda not related.. Remember how in the Friday WAYR posts we used to post a picture of the cover of the book? I liked that. We should start doing that. I (and a lot of you here) choose some books based on their covers, so it might be a new way to find a new book.

Waaaay back in the early NBC days, I used to do QOTD. Or it could be one day a week "Question of TuesDay" or "Question of ThursDay"... <--- see what I did there?

eta: It's been on my mind to start again. This post motivated me to bring it up. I haven't read all the responses here so ooops if it's been already mentioned.
