Weekend Reading Progress

Re: Weekend Reading Progress

  • I started and finished Surrender to Sultry this weekend. Loved it. I was so happy that it ended the way it did.

I started listening to Gone Girl this morning and I'm hooked already. I'll be picking it up again this afternoon while I work.

Books being ignored: Orlando (which I'll pick up again tonight), Crucial Confrontations (for work, so whatever), Anna Karenina (it's on the nightstand, where it's been for over a year, I need to get back to it.

  • I made some progress on The Hangman's Daughter and I started Where'd You Go Bernadette.  The Hangman's Daughter is just ok so far.  I'm loving Where'd You Go Bernadette!

I totally ignored The Cuckoo's Calling all weekend. I'm not sure if I'm going to finish reading it or not.
IMO, it was bad.  I understand why you ignored it.
What didn't you like about it?

I supposed I should have also said - City of Bones was OK, I wish the characters had more to them- more emotion, more real feelings about things. They seem kind of 1-D. Insurgent I love so far, I couldnt put it down last night and read half of it. Yeah seriously I started it yesterday afternoon and am already half way done.

  • I have far too many books going at once right now. I made *very* little progress on Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah and Outlander. I have been abandoning When You Were Mine by Elizabeth Noble. I need to pick that one up soon if I'm going to finish it before book club.

I finished The Heist by Janet Evanovich.  Not my favorite Janet book but I wasn't expecting anything much.  I also got a bit read in Trail of the Spellmans and Last Sacifice.  I didn't spend a whole lot of time reading but I still have two more weeks of holidays left.

  • I didn't read anything....but I did get a ton of new books on my kindle and I organized them into collections. That counts right? It helped motivate me to start getting out of my 6week slump.

I agree with this one.  So worth it when you get into it.  Be prepared for some serious feels.

  • I worked on The Scorpio Races all weekend. I would have gotten further if I didn't end up dead to the world yesterday. I was so tired I couldn't even think about reading yesterday. I can see myself finishing this today.

  • I made nice dent in The Moon Dwellers by David Estes. I'm liking this book and I'm excited to be reading a series that all of the books are out.

  • I read a little of The Hippopotamus Pool and listened to Under The Dome, I was really busy visiting and hanging with friends this weekend and I got one heck of a sunburn, so at least I ignored my books for a really great time.

Awesome! I'm listening to it on audio and I'm really liking it so far. I think I'm only on chapter 3 or something. It's making me actually want to go to the gym so I can listen to it! :)
