Books to bring on vacation
So Sunday we leave for the in-law family cabin vacation trip.
I got a little birthday money, and while the sensible thing to do would be to put it in the bank, I'm a big believer in having fun with birthday money. Naturally this means books! Or at least one or two.
I'm bringing The Fault In Our Stars because apparently I want to be in tears during the vacation. It's not abnormal. Last year I read My Sister's Keeper, so I'm used to that. But I still need to bring one or two more books with me.
I still haven't bought Insurgent, but I just can't bring myself to buy it. Hardcover still!
I have a habit of bringing apocalyptic fiction on vacations with me, don't know why.
Anyway, any suggestions on what to buy that I can completely immerse myself in? Probably something that wont make me cry as much since I already have that covered. A little bit of crying is fine though, as long as there is a good dose of happy too.
my read shelf:

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”

Black Dagger Brotherhood would be great vacation material and a good opposite end of the spectrum from TFiOS to help you recover. I just finished #2 and am hooked now.
As far as dystopian, it looks like you gave Delirium 5 stars, but haven't finished the series? You could grab the next two of those to finish that up as well.
Have fun!

oh, I have read the rest of the series, I just forgot to rate I guess!

That makes total sense. If there weren't other people around who I trusted to watch it, I'd be reluctant as well.

Partials by Dan Brown (not my normal genre but LOVED it!!!)
If I Stay & Where She Went by Gayle Forman...they are both short and you should definitely pick them up!!! :-)
Happy reading! Have a great vacation!
