Happy Friday!! What are you reading?
How go you like it so far? Is it for one of the challenges or just fun?
Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!!

I'm also listening to Twice Tempted (Night Prince #2) by Jeaniene Frost. I'm not loving this series as much as Night Huntress, though it might just be the audible version. #42.
I was going to listen to Fall of Giants, but I found out an hour in that I had the abridged version! ARG!

I'm still reading Winter of the World by Ken Follett. I hope to finish it next week. I'm also reading Mr. Penumbra's 24 Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan and really enjoying it so far. I finished listening to The Girl Who Played with Fire this week. I enjoyed it but thought it was too loooooong. I am listening to Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman in the car and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak at work.
I am 53/75 for the year.

Listening to Every Crooked Nanny by Mary Kay Andrews. It's a repub (?) of an old book from the 90s. I keep wondering why they don't have cell phones! And the N word has been thrown in there a couple times, which I don't like.
62 and 63 for the year.

I'm pretty sure it's number 17 for the year. No goals, no challenges.
Sugar & Spice
I am also working on Shattered by Tahereh Mafi. It is okay.
They are #45 and 46 for the year. My goal is 75 but I'm not sure if I am going to make it!
I'm listening to Gone Girl and just got to a big twist- loving it. I'm hoping to finish it today at work. It'll be 39 of 65. Where'd You Go Bernadette is next in line for audio books.
I'm reading Orlando by Virginia Woolf and so far it's good. It's a quicker read than I expected so I hope to make some good progress on that this weekend and maybe even finish it. It'll be 40 of 65. After that I plan to start A Feast for Crows so I can read A Dance With Dragons once DH is done with it.

I'm reading The Hangman's Daughter on my Kindle. It's just ok to me and I'm about half way through. I finished Where'd You Go Bernadette last night, I really enjoyed it. I'll start a new book when I get home but I don't know what it will be!
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”
