NBR: What are you afraid of?
There was a teeny tiny little spider on my desk this morning and I had to have co-worker go and remove it for me. Spiders scare the crap out of me. I can deal with snakes and rodents. But never spiders. I'm also terrified of open heights. I also have noticed that as I get older, my fears are becoming worse.
What scares you? You are all way younger than I am for the most part, but have any of you noticed your fears or phobias becoming more intense as you age?

Re: NBR: What are you afraid of?
This is more of a confession than anything but I am afraid of things under the bed. I can't watch scary movies because of it. I had to watch IT during the daylight hours in hopes that Penny Wise would be under someone elses bed by dark.

I'm terrified of the dark, outside - but only if I'm out there alone. I start imagining all sorts of stuff and my heart races and then I have to run inside.
I am also scared of water that I cannot stand up in.
I haven't really noticed my fears getting worse the older I get.
I'm terrified of drowning. I also am very scared of steps that you can see through like these:
I feel like the older I get, the more ridiculous my fears are becoming.

As a kid I hated water that I could not stand up in. After many tears, lessons, and even being on swim team. I can handle that fear for the most part, though I have never had to use my skills in the middle of the ocean, even though I know what to do.
And to copy off of what someone else said, stairs that you can see through. The gym has stairs like these and they make me so anxious.

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”
