Re: TTC CHECK IN
Where are you in your cycle? CD11
Are you planning on testing for anything this week? I started my OPK's this morning. I should O early next week while on vacation.
Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? I really wish there was a way to turn your brain off in regards to TTC... Every baby announcement or baby I see I feel a little pang in my chest.
Questions, thoughts, concerns? Not really needing advice but I have to pee on my OPK's during vacation and I am staying at our in laws beach house which means I have to go into the bathroom pee on a stick and sneak it back into my room while I wait for it to show the results.
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? Besides the fact that my Father has caught onto us TTC and subtly mentions it every now and then...
We were spending the weekend at my in laws beach house in December for some winter thing. We were in the middle of ST when all of a sudden there was a knock on our door and my SIL tried to open the door to ask me to help with her baby. THANK GOD it was locked but I had to fly out of bed and dress myself then tend to her infant. I guess it isn't super embarrassing but maybe that's a good thing.

Where are you in your cycle? CD 24, possibly 2 DPO, but can't confirm until those CHs show.
Are you planning on testing for anything this week? Nope. Used OPKs the last 5 days. I got what I think was a positive on Monday, and my temp was higher on Wednesday, so it's somewhat of a fit.
Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? Good life in general stuff: I'm loving our new refrigerator; we got it a week ago, and it's awesome. We closed on our mortgage refi last Saturday, which was exciting, and saves us over $200/month; thanks to the refi we also don't have a mortgage payment due for Sept!
Questions, thoughts, concerns? Nope
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? Not really. We don't really talk to anyone about being actively TTC, so there really aren't any opportunities for embarrassment.
TTCQ: Are there any other topics or questions you would like me to add to this weekly update? ANY input at all? I'm drawing a blank.

Where are you in your cycle? CD22
Are you planning on testing for anything this week? nope, per the RE, Clomid didn't work so no point.
Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? TTC-wise, waiting for the RE to call and give me the results of the blood work and where to go next. Non-TTC-wise, Counting down the days til Disney!
Questions, thoughts, concerns? Can you make my RE call me back faster?
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? Like awkward sex moments? lol - Nothing in particular I can think of. We're also not out of the TTC closet yet.
TTCQ: Are there any other topics or questions you would like me to add to this weekly update? ANY input at all? Thanks for doing this!! I can't think of anything.
How many months/cycles have you been TTC? 5 months/2 cycles
Where are you in your cycle? 24
Are you planning on testing for anything this week? Have been using OPK's, but they aren't giving me any good news.
Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? We are going to start on our major cement project at the house next week, and I'm really nervous. Mostly because it means that I have to make a decision on how to pour our new patio, and I have no clue what I want to do. Except that I want to be able to put a nice sized patio table on it.
Questions, thoughts, concerns? Not really.
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? I keep my prenatal vitamins in our kitchen cabinet next to the sink. My mom was looking for the glasses last time she was over, and she grabbed the pills and read the label. So we know that she has an idea, but when we went on vacation a few weeks ago she kept insisting that we needed to go back to our cabin for "alone time." Everyone else kept giving her funny looks, because they couldn't figure out why she was so persistent on us going back to our cabin alone. It made for some akward moments.
TTCQ: Are there any other topics or questions you would like me to add to this weekly update? ANY input at all? Um, I'm not crafty like that. lol.
Speaking of crafty, how about this? If you could choose any realistic skill to have, what would it be?
Mine would be to be able to comprehend things easily. It takes me a while for things to soak in, which in turn makes me take a while to respond to things. I hate that H can hear something, and snap right back with a response or idea. Yup, don't have that skill.

How many months/cycles have you been TTC? cycle one, take two.
Where are you in your cycle? CD20
Are you planning on testing for anything this week? Nope, not this week.
Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? Just getting reacquainted with the whole charting thing and willing my temperatures to cooperate. lol. I had what appeared to be +OPK's Monday and Tuesday, an obvious negative yesterday, and a slight rise in temp today, so hopefully the rest will happen as it's supposed to.
Questions, thoughts, concerns? not really this week, I'm just twiddling my thumbs waiting and overanalyzing stuff. You know, the usual. lol. I'm thinking that next cycle I'm going to get a proper BBT (you know, one that says 97.46 instead of 97.5 (like the one I currently have)) does anyone think that'd make a huge difference? And also the digital OPKs. I'll test on the cheapies and then confirm with the digi's to eliminate some guesswork. :sigh:
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? Not particularly. lol.
TTCQ: Are there any other topics or questions you would like me to add to this weekly update? ANY input at all? Again, not particularly. Random questions are always fun. Don't start asking like, algebraic equations or rhetorical questions. That's just annoying. :-P
Where are you in your cycle? CD 19/8dpo
Are you planning on testing for anything this week? nope. DH was sick last week and I o'd early. This month was totally off for us,
Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? This week has been surprisingly calm. Although, I did rear-end a truck yesterday. It did nothing to him but of course, I hit the hitch and it went through the front of my Jetta. We didn't report it because I did not want to go take a drug test for work. This is my kind of luck.
Questions, thoughts, concerns?
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? Not really. We are kind of boring. Maybe I should make up some kind of wild story.
TTCQ: Are there any other topics or questions you would like me to add to this weekly update? ANY input at all? maybe not a weekly update, but how does everyone's DH's deal with everything. How often do you talk about TTC?

Where are you in your cycle? CD23. I may have ovulated, as I was getting two lines earlier in the week and none now. I know it means nothing and nothing may have happened, but I'm hopeful.
Are you planning on testing for anything this week? Not anymore, no.
Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? Nope. I'm okay this week. Of course, if I happen to get a BFN on or around our 2nd anniversary/1 year mark, I'll be sad.
Questions, thoughts, concerns? Not really.
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? No. Few people know we are TTC.
TTCQ: Are there any other topics or questions you would like me to add to this weekly update? ANY input at all? Nope, I like it how it is.

I see my clients in their homes. Anytime we get in an accident or a ticket or anything, we have to prove that we don't have anything in our system by taking a drug test.

He will discuss TTC, but he has to be in the mood for it. When he is, you better watch out because he wants to know every little detail and discuss it in depth.
Other than that, he's still in the "if it happens it happens" boat. Which is a bit frustrating for me, but I understand that he isn't ready to begin the 3T route. So we just take it one day at a time. He has only begun to express disappointment about it not happening yet, but he knows with my long cycles that it isn't going to be easy.

Where are you in your cycle? CD 24, still waiting to O...
Are you planning on testing for anything this week? I think I gave up on OPKs since I went back to work...at least for now.
Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? I wish my body would O already....I don't really want to have a super long cycle. Plus I've been having lots of EWCM today and yesterday. Just get it over with already!
Questions, thoughts, concerns? Nothing really...just hoping I O soon.
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? I don't think I have any...

@callitcompulsive, I have read that it doesn't matter if you have a BBT that goes to the hundredth (97.46) as opposed to the ones that go to the tenth (97.5). I have only ever used the ones that go to the hundredth so I don't know for sure but I do remember reading that somewhere.

By the way, I wanted to add that I've only seen 3 pregnant ladies so far since being back at work. I'm not positive that 2 of them are...the one girl just had a baby last school year and she definitely looks pregnant again (although maybe she hasn't lost her baby weight at all. The other is a new teacher and she definitely looks pregnant but I'm not sure.
There are lots of breastfeeding ladies since 3-4 of them had babies last year. And guess what? The pumping room is the closet in my classroom. Awkward....

Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? good: I spent all week in my classroom! I'm excited to start the year
Questions, thoughts, concerns?
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? I had a 6-month follow up at my GYN on Tuesday, and afterwards the NP asked if we were still TTC, because if we were she suggested we get busy that night.
good to know, thanks!

Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? We're just starting out ttc, so not really. Actually, I just found out that I have hyperthyroidism and I didn't even think about asking my Dr. about how that could affect us TTC. I have an appt to see an endocrinologist in Oct, so I'll find out more then. :-/
Questions, thoughts, concerns? not yet, with the exception of the thyroid issue? Anyone here have anything similar?
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? not yet!
Where are you in your cycle? Day 1. It's the worst.
Are you planning on testing for anything this week? Nope. This whole thing is kinda new to me.
Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? I start my first semester of teaching college in addition to my full time gig next week, so that's cool but I'm kind of nervous. Also I'm training for a 10K in October to get back into running (it will be a year since my first half marathon) and shed some extra weight I've gained. One of our closest friends is moving a few states away next week. All in all, a lot is going on, good and bad.
Questions, thoughts, concerns? Even though we've only been actively trying a short time, the more time passes, the more I wonder if there might be a problem. Two months and not conceiving makes sense, but if I count all the months it just didn't happen, I wonder how much longer we go before trying to seek help. I think I've been hoping this whole time to conceive on accident, because "trying" implies there is room for us to fail, as silly as that sounds. For that reason, we've told no one that we're trying. As we head into this full throttle in the coming months, anyone have any tips for us?
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? No, since we're new and no one really knows.
TTCQ: Are there any other topics or questions you would like me to add to this weekly update? ANY input at all? Not that I can think of.
and re: your hopeful 'accidental' pregnancy, I have had those thoughts, too. Just remember, even with well timed intercourse, you still only have like a 20 percent chance of conception every month. Personally, when I was hoping for my happy accident, we would have sex during my least fertile times, (think a week after AF, and the week before) no rhyme or reason, that's just how it seemed to work out. This is where fertility friend and temping really came in to play for me to know when to do what and all that jazz.
Anyroad, tl;dr welcome and good luck!
How many months/cycles have you been TTC? 2 months/2 cycles
Where are you in your cycle? CD 6
Are you planning on testing for anything this week? OPKs soon, CM checks, Temping on FF, maybe cervix positions but ew.
Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? BFN at least reminded me that i have some painting projects I wanted to do before a BFP. Also getting my champagne & pineapple juice (Pamosas) in before I can't anymore.
Questions, thoughts, concerns? I have been on The Bump for years. Can't believe I never ventured over to the Nest before. These topics are soooo much more fun and you ladies seem so much nicer. Glad I can gab about house projects and organizing instead of babies babies babies! Thinking about it all the time is NOT the way to stay calm.
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? Nope. But I hate that I'm starting to slip. Like saying in front of my MIL to my DH: "I would want a double sink in the main bathroom. I don't want to share one sink with 2 kids at some point". Then I offered my maternity clothes tub to my best friend (who is the only person I told we were TTC) and she goes "No, you'll need those soon". Dang her pregnancy brain. I don't want people to know. Last time people knew and they kept getting sadder for me as the months went by.
TTCQ: Are there any other topics or questions you would like me to add to this weekly update? ANY input at all? Nope.
Where are you in your cycle? 2WW (but my BBT dropped this morning) :-/
Are you planning on testing for anything this week? Nope
Any goods or bads in regards to TTC or life in general? Plenty of bads, but the worst was my husband was in a car accident yesterday. He's okay, but it's just a headache (stress and financial) that we don't need right now.
Questions, thoughts, concerns? We need something good to happen because when it rains it pours in our house......
QOTD: Any embarrassing TTC stories you would like to share? Nothing embarrassing yet....
