An AMAZING YA contemporary book.
I haven't read any of the fun stuff that's been popular lately. Preferably something with lots of feelings, or something with really fantastic characters.

Golden by Jessi Kirby was good. Did you read Just One Day?
Have you read Tell the Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt?
It's amazing.
ETA: J/K. It's not YA but it's still good and has younger characters and deals with coming of age.
my read shelf:
Ooh! Try this then.
This is a great description. I was trying to think of something to compare it to and I'm failing.
It's got so many feels!

Jennie Writes Words ~~~ We Still Read ~~~ Presidential Challenge
I've been dying to read this one.
@84Lauren will kill me if I take a break from WMF.
Eleanor & Park was great and Rainbow Rowell's other book, Attachments, reads like a 90s RomCom movie. Not YA, but so good. They both got 4 stars on GR.
Hate List by Jennifer Brown is really intense and heart breaking and wonderful. It's about a school shooting, so it's hard to read at times, but a really powerful story.
I think you would really like any of these.
I want This Song Will Save Your Life SO bad! It sounds like something I would love!
I never finished Tell the Wolves I'm Home, also never got on board with Just One Day, and I liked Time Between Us ok- it reminded me of The Future of Us in some ways.
my read shelf:
It's the book I had been hoping that The Future of Us would have been.

Agreed. I enjoyed the parts in The Future of Us that Jay Asher wrote, I don't think I'm a big Carolyn Mackler fan. I read another one of her books and wasn't really blown away.
