Re: Cool Personality Test
My husband, one of his sisters and my father are also INTJs, which I think is weird b/c it's supposed to be a rarer personality type (especially in women). I'm pretty sure we are at least on different parts of the spectrum for each category (I'm much more extroverted than DH, for example, but I wouldn't consider myself an extrovert by any means). We do all have careers listed in this category though.
The explanation for Judging vs Perceiving cracks me up. (Judging organizes, plans, controls and decides clear firm actions... makes decisions quickly, while Perceiving responds and acts with flexibility...relatively slow to decide) I definitely like to have things planned ahead and organized, but because of that I tend to take forever to make a decision. I feel like if you were flexible you would be more likely to jump to a decision b/c if it doesn't go well, you'd be ok with changing it.
I don't know about being excited about turning theories into understandings. More like I like theories and ideas, but struggle to make them a reality. Everything else is about right, I think.
Your personality type: "Analytical Thinker"
Logical, original, creative thinkers. Can become very excited about theories and ideas. Exceptionally capable and driven to turn theories into clear understandings. Highly value knowledge, competence and logic. Quiet and reserved, hard to get to know well. Individualistic, having no interest in leading or following others. Highly analytical, they can discover connections between two seemingly unrelated things and work best when allowed to use their imagination and critical thinking.

Quiet, reflective and idealistic. Interested in serving humanity. Well-developed value system, which they strive to live in accordance with. Extremely loyal. Adaptable and laid-back unless a strongly-held value is threatened. Usually talented writers. Mentally quick and able to see possibilities. Interested in understanding and helping people.
Careers that could fit you include:
Writers, artists, counselors, social workers, English teachers, fine arts teachers, child care workers, clergy, missionaries, psychologists, psychiatrists, scientists, political activists, editors, education consultants, journalists, religious educators, social scientists.
This is pretty accurate I would say. I'm working on a master's degree in therapy so the careers definitely fit, though it seems like a lot of them were repeated haha.
The description of myself is very similar to characteristics from an assessment my team went through at work (DISC training), and I've found many of those principles useful at work and in life in general for how to relate to others, etc.
I do have a question though...why are all the people listed as examples male?
Renowned persons with similar personality types:

[2010: 63] [2011: 35] [2012: 23] [2013: 27]
