I'm dying over this. I was so not convinced of the casting before but for some reason it's just sort of clicked for me (the haircut maybe?) and I just cannot wait.
And I think I love JG even more now because he's admitted to crying many times.
I just can't imagine what it's like as a writer to see these people and places you created in your mind suddenly become real.
That said, I'm still sad they're not in Indy.
That being said, I loved his little preview video and loved his enthusiasm.

I'd seen a few minutes of Secret Life and honestly I blame horrible writing/awkward storylines more than her. Other than that I'm not familiar with her acting.
The haircut is so perfect I think, it's very close to what I pictured. And I like the fact that she apparently loves this book and wants so badly to be there - that gives me hope. And I trust JG and what he's said.
Honestly I'm a bit more worried about Ansel as Gus.

Finally got the chance to watch this. He is just too cute! I love how excited he is.
I'm also a little worried about Ansel as Gus. He is not what I pictured at all. Shailene is growing on me though. I think it helps that I haven't seen her other work.
And um...how did I miss that Sam Merlotte is Hazel's dad?!?!

The Indy Star has an article now about how to bring the movie industry to Indiana. They're pretty irritated by TFiOS not filming in the city.
That said, I think the movie will turn out great!
