I do this, sort of.  J and I sing songs to Wes about pooping.  It's so funny until you admit it out loud. :-S

  • I actually liked Miley's performance because I found it humorous and not in the way that I'm making fun of her.  She and her handlers knew exactly what was happening and got the reaction they wanted. I don't think she was trying to be sexy at all - I think it was very tongue in cheek of how so many people try to make their performances extremely sexy.  Maybe I'm reading more into it and completely wrong but that's how I saw it.

MH is the king of silly songs. He is constantly making them up for our dog and son. It's horrible because then I get them stuck in my head! But at least he has them as an audience now because that means he's stopped singing them about me!!

  • My sister left her husband a week or two ago, but I'm pretty sure they're back together yet again.  This has happened a few times.  My mom wants me to be supportive of her, but you guys, I swear they act this way because they thrive on the drama it creates.  I know he's nuts, but I think she may be, too.  Their status updates are always nauseatingly lovey dovey (well, I can only see hers now.  He unfriended both me and my mother).  I don't want to be caught in the drama because it seems like that's all it is, so I haven't called her.  I think they're both being ridiculous.

  • On Wednesday... I ate Oreo's dipped in milk for dinner. I meant to have it as a snack and then 10 Oreo's later I wasn't hungry for dinner anymore.

  • I'm listening to Christmas music right now. It's kind of awesome, kind of sad.

If it makes you feel any better, I made oatmeal chocolate chip cookie dough and kept eating the dough and I wasn't hungry for dinner last night.  Oh and I didn't even bake the cookies.  I have to do that tonight.

  • I want to rat out a coworker for working remote from 2:30 AM to 8:30 AM instead of working normal hours and taking a break for her closing which was her original plan, but it's totally not my place and I don't want to be that person.  She's the first one to bitch about our work place, which is pretty awesome all things considered, but she'll take advantage of the perks.  Work isn't happy fun times, it's called work for a reason, there's a certain amount of shit you're going to have to deal with.  It annoys me when people expect special treatment.

Me too. Sometimes I randomly sing Christmas songs at the top of my lungs on my commute home. Sometimes I sing them to Liam while he's falling asleep, too.

I have someone like that at my work too. It pisses me off so much because I don't want her to ruin the perks for everyone else. My work is very lenient about working from home and time off, which is very helpful with DS. I don't want that to end.

Granted, I don't know this person (or what her job is) but my thought is... if the work gets done, why does is matter what time she was working?

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I am always the first person in the office, and I was singing loudly before anyone else got here. I think I got caught when our CEO walked in, haha

My work is very good about remote work, especially when it's too hot to work at the office, we have no AC, or in the winter when it's snowy or for appointments.  My boss's policy on remote work is I shouldn't even realize you're not here, but when you don't even work during business hours it makes it tough for the rest of us.  She just has a really shitty attitude and I'm over it.

  • My confession is that I kind of want to get another dog already. I lost my dog on 8/14 and I feel like that would be disrespectful to his memory though and feel guilty about it. It just feels so weird to be in our house without him. He was like my shadow. Plus I haven't been without at least one dog in the house in about 13 years. It sucks! :(

That said, I think it would be smarter to wait until DS is out of diapers and fairly accident-free, which should be very soon. When I am thinking logically, I know we should probably wait until Spring.

My work is the same. We can work at home but it needs to be at least fairly close to normal business hours, as that is when all of vendors and clients work. Well, I hope it gets better for you. Hopefully, your boss will pick up on this as well.

If it were me, I would probably wait until DS is out of diapers.  It would be easier on you while bringing in a new member of the family.  I wouldn't be able to step into a rescue until I was ready because I would want to bring them ALL home.

When I rescued Mia, A had to stop me from bringing home 4 dogs.

  • My cats gigantic vet bills are keeping my from buying shoes and I am not happy about it.

I just had to pay $315 for an ultrasound and I have an appt next month for two of the cats to get their teeth cleaned which is probably going to cost me about $600.  And I still need to make an appt for cat #3 to get his teeth cleaned which will be another $300.  And this is all after spending over $300 for Booney's final vet visits and cremation.  Ugh.

Cat #4 (the kitten that I said no to) gets nothing.  DH and step-monster can deal with that one.

Having 4 cats is expensive.  But I am a sucker and love them to pieces.  They are worth every penny to me.  Even if it means I can't buy shoes.

    I want shoes dammit!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure he knows but her annual review is coming up and I'm sure it will be discussed then.  She's looking for a new job and I just hope she gets one, it will suck to cover her work but at this point it will be better for everyone.  We also get paid very well for the work we do and it's not like these type of jobs are all that prevalent in Maine so she should be thankful.

  • I have every intention of doing as little work as possible today, but just enough that it still looks like i'm working hard.

I wanted to ask to leave early today because of the long weekend, but I decided not to because my boss sometimes lets us out early on Fridays and if that happens, i won't have to use any PTO.

this one's kind of catty, but - I decided I wanted to go to a movie tonight with my BF and his friends (I was invited, but wasn't sure if I wanted cause I couldn't care less about the movie they're seeing.) But I recently found out that a girl who my BF used to work with is going. She's really into working out and is in pretty good shape, and her / her BF used to make jokes sometimes about me being 'fat'.  I've been working out a lot lately and am starting to see results (especially in my bum, which used to look like a granny's) ....... so I kind of want to go just so I can show off a little and look awesome in my new jeans.
