  • I'm still reading The Good Nurse: A True Story of Medicine, Madness and Murder. It's #19/25 for my goal for the year. I'm about 45% into it. It' s interesting.

re-reading "Wait for You" for the SuBC. Love this book. so ready for the sequel to come out!

listening to "The False Princess" just for fun. It's ok.....I am going to give it a little bit longer before I give up on it

  • I am reading The Hypnotist by Lars Kepler for my IRL book club.  I wasn't looking forward to it but I am actually really enjoying it.  I am also reading The Husband List by Janet Evanovich. I love JE books but I have to say I am not liking this one at all and it may even be my least favorite by her ever.

They are #69 and 70 for the year.

I'm listening to this one - I love it, but the audio is 42 hours long, so it'll be a while before I am done.  I am about three pages into Clockwork Prince, but I plan on gorging on reading this weekend.
  • Still working on Full Dark, No Stars (19).  I liked the first and second stories, but this third one isn't grabbing me.  I'm not that far into it yet, though, so we'll see.

  • I'm reading Bossypants. It started off strong, but now it's dragging a bit. Maybe I'm just not connecting with this section of the book because I'm not into theater.

    I wrote this!
  • I am reading And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini.  I am reading it for my IRL bookclub and struggling with it.  I was not a fan of The Kite Runner and I can't say I am a fan of this book either.  Hopefully I will have it read by Sept 4 for bookclub.

I am also reading The Titans (Kent Family Chronicles #5) by John Jakes.  I have this one going on my Kindle and have been reading it while I put in 45 minutes on the elliptical at the gym each morning.

They are books #52 and #53 for the year I believe.

Jealous!  I finished this series last month.  So much love for Elena et al!

I am reading The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter.  It is the first of the Lords of the Underworld books and has been okay so far.  I think the series will pick up, so I'll keep reading. It will be somewhere around 150 for the year.

  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Loving it, I'm almost halfway in. It's #4/25 for the year.... I was in school the first part of the year, then moved so I didn't read much, which is why my goal is 25 this year.

  • Reading: Bared to You by Sylvia Day. It's pretty good, but not great.

Listening to: Hot Ice by Nora Roberts. It's typical NR, so it's exactly what I wanted....though I'm not loving the narrator's voice. Actually that's not true, I LOVE her voice most of the time, just not the way she does the male lead.

  • I finally finished A Gathering Storm!  I also finished Good Wives: Image and Reality in the Lives of Women in Northern New England, 1650-1750, which was ok but nothing revolutionary.  I've moved on to Dedication, by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus (The Nanny Diary authors).  I'm only about 25 pages in but this should be a quick read.

  • I'm re-reading (for the millionth time) the Harry Potter series while feeding the baby or up in the middle of the night. When she falls back asleep, I have to force myself to stop reading and go to bed so maybe I need to pick some different books lol.
  • I'm reading "Queen's Gambit" by Elizabeth Fremantle. I'm only a few pages in. It is #68 for the year.

  • I FINALLY got around to picking up "The Happiness Project" -- it's kind of cool so far, I love her ideas on organization. I'm sure I'll have it finished by the end of the weekend (if only the weather would be nice then I could read outside!)

Be sure to follow The Nest on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest!
  • I'm picking up Sea of Tranquility from the library this afternoon and I'm so excited to start it based on how much everyone here has loved it! (I know, I'm way behind on this one.. for some reason my library only had a couple of copies so I've been on the holds list FOREVER!

    It will be 33/52.

I'm also thinking I will do a Harry Potter reread soon, based on some of the discussions this week.  It's been a while.
