I want to talk about books again
So I saw this old-ish list on Buzzfeed- 32 books that will change your life, and I wondered what books you would say are on your list? Clearly I don't expect you to come up with 32, but feel free to add as many as you can think of, and explanations as to why if you want. Or not if you feel like it is personal.
http://www.buzzfeed.com/erinlarosa/books-that-will-actually-change-your-life?sub=2527608_1516368Some on this list I truly don't get. Like #4, #20. I absolutely agree with Middlesex though. *sigh*

"I DO NOT love that you think so many things revolve around you. I know you're bitter. I get it. But I'm over your feelings." The best person on the internet ever!

There were several on there that I agree with. "Invisible Man" was quite thought provoking for me as a sophomore in college and inspired me to start writing again. Interestingly, my favorite books by Didion and Fitzgerald are not on there, but other books of theirs are.
Life changing/validating for me was "The year of magical thinking" by Joan Didion
"the sun also rises" is also an all-time favorite.
ETA: why can't I make that siggy go away?
Also "Tuesdays with Morrie"
ETA: "Winter Birds" and "the boy who was raised as a dog"

Thanks!
Anne Frank probably trumps all of the others I listed. I was in second grade. It sparked a lifelong interest in all things WWII.

@seahorse01 Based on your list of books, The Giver is one you might enjoy.
Also, I'm seeing everyone put "She's Come Undone" on their list. I bought this at a garage sale last year, but have yet to read it. Maybe I will now.
