I learned it from my momma
So, I'm writing an article and had to talk about my journey to being an avid reader and eventually writer. As long as I can remember, my mom always had books around the house and she was usually reading them all at the same time. She told me that when she got pregnant for me, she started keeping a log of every book she read so that she wouldn't read the same book twice.
I asked her about this for the article. She has a three-ring binder, with a numbered handwritten log of every book she's ever read (since 1977) divided alphabetically. This woman was doing Goodreads BEFORE Goodreads. Her total, as of today, is 4085 books read.
