TGIF!

Any weekend plans?

We are going to forest park to see the Balloon Glow tonight. I really don't know what else is on the radar. Maybe some shopping for some fall decor and my NSA's present. I have a 3 day weekend (sat-mon) but no real plans. DH will be hunting so I'm on my own.

Re: TGIF!

  • We're going to see John Cleese tonight, which I expect to be hilarious.

Tomorrow we're meeting friends for brunch and then we need to clean/organize closets in our spare rooms and do a few other jobs around the house.

Sunday we're running in the 5K Army Run.  I haven't been training much, so I don't expect great results, but it's better than sitting my ass on the couch.

  • ILs are in town this weekend. Tonight we are taking them to a restaurant called Jus' Mac. They only serve Mac and cheese.

Tomorrow, I'm hopefully going to be able to go to the gym to escape them a little bit. We are going to the Texas a&m game tomorrow night.

Sunday, church and relaxing. I'm not sure what else they will want to do.

They are great people just really set in their ways. It gets annoying when they act like we are children, and try to tell me what to do in my own house. Plus they don't drink, so I'll be sober all weekend while FIL makes comments about how he doesn't like where we live (because we live closer to the city) and how at their house they do XYZ.

  • Tonight we're going to a pot luck dinner with a bunch of friends.  Tomorrow we're going to an open house in the morning (I'm not sure why; it's a gorgeous house, but a little out of our price range.  I guess it doesn't hurt to see what's out there.) and then to Michael's to get a shadow box so I can finally get some wedding stuff out of our extra room and kitchen. Then finally go through gifts and decide what we want to keep, what gets returned, and what we want instead. Sunday will probably be a sit on my ass and do nothing day... I hope.

  • @nfp147 Good luck at your race!

@xan921 Great job on the weight loss. That is amazing! You are so close to your goal. Also, Happy Birthday!

Tonight we're helping MIL clean up trees again.

Tomorrow we have to run a bunch of errands, I want to get some outdoor things put away for the winter, and then my mom and I are going to the cities to pick up our race packet and carbload.

Sunday is the marathon relay. I'm very nervous for it, because my training hasn't been very good. I'm hoping to do my leg of the race at a faster pace than I've only ran in training. So it could be interesting.

Well, I just ditched my promo event for tonight. I looked up the venue, since it's somewhere I've never been and wanted to see what it was like. Yeah, turns out it's a strip club!!

I e-mailed our agency manager immediately, she contacted the brand rep/client about it, and long story short, I'm NOT walking around in shorts and high heels handing out free booze samples while girls are stripping. No thank you!! I will pass on that paycheck.

At least I can enjoy happy hour after work without obsessing over what time I need to catch the train home. :)
