FRIDAY CONFESSIONS

Re: FRIDAY CONFESSIONS

  • @myJunegirls that made me lol. One of our business partners visits from time to time and he always hugs me hello. I smell like old man cologne for the rest of the day. It's awful.

I turned down a job offer today. No one here knows that I got it or turned it down yet so I'm thinking that I might go into my manager's office to see if I can get more money out of them here.
You should definitely say something.  I interviewed somewhere else and was offered the job in June and I told our Director of Operations.  I ended up getting a promotion and a raise because they didn't want me to leave.  No one needs to know that you already turned it down.

  • I have this rule (read phobia) of wearing any clothes I buy before washing them. Well, I bought a shirt at Ann Taylor this week and REALLY wanted to wear it today. How bad could it be right?
Wasn't till I got to work I realized it smelled. Like cheap perfume. I stink. I smell like a cheap whore. I am getting a headache from the perfume. It is so bad, I may go home at lunch to change.

Moral of this story- I have rules for myself for a reason. Grrr.
    But I look fabulous.
Who cares if you smell like a cheap whore, as long as you look fabulous (just don't linger on any street corner any longer than absolutely necessary).

Hopefully I'm not tarred and feathered for these but feathers can be a good look for me, so junewhatevs.

I have had to chase my family down on a firm response to whether or not they will come to the princess' birthday party next weekend. Like actual blood relatives who act like they're too busy to come and wish my kid happy birthday. I never throw parties for her so this is something super special. Makes me mad that they can't just suck it up and say yes they're coming. This means that they'll probably bring people who aren't invited and I'll be stuck feeding the entire world. So...I'm a bit stressed.

I made two dates on the same day with different people. I have never done that before in my entire life. One is a coffee date in the afternoon, the other is a dinner date that evening. I've set up dates with a few different people over the next week or so and I kind of  feel like Samantha Jones.

I finished my book and I'm kind of peacock strutting over it this morning. I'm sure the inevitable self doubt will kick in and I'll retreat into my cave of emo sooner rather than later, but for right now, I'm totally enjoying the relief and euphoria that comes along with finishing.

THERE IS JUST SO MUCH I WANT TO COMMENT ON THIS!!!

    1. Fam members that are being douches don't deserve to get cake.

    2. You're as fabulous as Samantha!

    3. YOU FINISHED YOUR FRIGGIN BOOK!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!

Ugh. I hate when family acts indifferent. Because of this, I'm much closer to my friends than my family.

All these dates sound great. Unfortunately, Mr. Right (or Mr. Right Now) never shows up in our living rooms with wine and chocolate offering foot massages after dusting the entire house. And two in one day is smart! Why waste a good hair day on just one person? Pssh.

Congrats on finishing your book! Strut around and celebrate. Everyone can start a story, but not everyone can finish one. Yay!
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

    1. Family sucks, especially when they feel entitled.  And they don't ever think they'll be told off because, well, they're FAMILY.
    2. You're awesome, it's really brave to put yourself out there like that.  Meeting people is hard.
    3. Again with the awesomeness!  :)

I just want it to be 4pm so I can go home. I have class tonight, which I am OK with. I just do not feel motivated to work anymore. I think I did more then enough work Monday through Thursday that I should be able to skate for a day. Plus they moved where I am sitting (again) so I have to "settle in" to my new desk. ;) at least that is what I am telling myself.
Also- the lady who sits in the cube next to mine is wearing so much perfume it is making my eyes water and I can taste it....
And- Congrats to @pinkybooklover0984Lauren I am eating a Mounds candy bar. Dark chocolate is good for you right?

  • I can confess what I ate yesterday...today was an okay food day.

So we had a birthday party for our boss yesterday, and I brought in these mini scones that they have at Wegmans. Big mistake. Big. HUGE. I know I can't say no to them, and I ate at least ten of them. I also ate chicken tenders for lunch. And I had some cake. And at one point I was definitely shoveling potato chips out of the bag and into my mouth. Sigh. Sometimes I wish my job did not have so much stress involved because my careful following of WW all week can be derailed by one busy day in the NICU.

I may have gone out all day on Tuesday without brushing my hair. It may not seem like much, but after I take a shower I just throw it in a messy ponytail on top of my head. It's the bumpiest, scariest thing ever. And I went to a baby class, work meeting, my mom's school, and two grocery stores. :-/
