I'm really ticked that children's toys are not primary colors. It's very hard to teach your kid colors when you're like "This is teal, because it's kind of green and kind of blue. This is magenta. It's like pink but not. This one is yellow. That one is yellow too but a different shade of yellow. And that one is, well, it's kind if cantaloupe colored." I mean, come on.

I just went to CVS and bought the following for no apparent reason:

2 bags of Jolly Ranchers (one original, one passion mix)

1 bottle of chocolate milk

1 bottle of ginger ale

1 pack of Big Red gum

@packfan20, ITA! I just say they're all blue, pink, yellow, orange, just different shades of them. Once she has the basics down, we'll work on the names for different shades.

The other night, out of nowhere, Tatum gave me a hug and said "I love you so much, Mommy." MELT.

I had a pumpkin chai this morning, and it tasted like there was real pumpkin blended into it, not some crappy, sugary flavoring. No joke, that drink tasted like actual squash. It was amazing.

I have class tonight and I'm more than a little pleased that I get to leave early. We had an exam last week and the professor is offering an optional test tonight to people who want to improve their grade as he was not impressed with the results from the exam (class average was under 80% with only 2 of us above 90%). As I got a 100% on the exam last week, I'll be merrily skipping out early tonight.

My blowdryer died halfway through drying my hair this morning. I have been trying to keep it alive for the past month but it is finally dead. I HATE buying a new blow dryer. I get so attached to the old one.

That sucks. Did you know Folica has a recycling program and will give you $40 off a purchase if you recycle your old styling equipment with them? You don't even have to wait for them to receive the old thing before you order your new one. I got a new straightener this way and it was awesome.

I'll have to remember this. I have an old blow dryer that I'm looking to replace, but I can't justify it. I'll be all "oh darn" when it finally dies and I get a new, nicer one.

I stopped driving myself to work on Monday because my belly is just too close to the steering wheel and since there is NO more room the kids are right under my ribs and it is hard to lean forward to check for traffic! I will drive when I need to but I HATE not having a car all the time :-( It has only been about a week and I can't stand it! I don't know how I am going to make it the rest of this pregnancy...

I don't really listen when people tell me what they dreamed about. I just zone out. I can't help it. In books, I often skim during dream sequences. During movies, I zone totally out. I can hang out for like one, "I was at my house but it didn't look like my house!" and then I'm gone.

YES!

Or you end up confusing the kid with colours like teal. I say "here's your GREEN block." Then, 2 minutes later MH says "pass me the BLUE block" and A's like.... huh? Ma just told me it's green.

I went out for Mexican with a friend on Sunday and had a Prickly Pear margarita. It was bright fuchsia and full of awesome. I am going back tomorrow for another one...and some cheese

I can sympathize. I didn't carry twins, but I measured 5-6 weeks ahead and the last month or so I couldn't drive either. My legs were too damn short and my belly too big. ::hugs:: It sucks!

I'm leaving early to pick up DH at the airport. I should basically just leave now for all the work I intend to do the rest of the day. We leave for vacation next Wednesday and I'm trying not to start anything new between now and then because I know I'll be thinking about work if I've left things unfinished.

I might need some advice soon on negotiations at my job. I think some things might open up soon and I want to make sure if I fit in with this change that I've done the best job I can at getting the most.

I've been up since 4am and I'm so exhausted I can barely stand myself. I'm the worst party thrower ever and I keep having bad dreams (sorry @jackiback) about the princess' upcoming birthday party being a huge and epic fail.
