Never have. Seems like a false sense of security to me. People that say "I don't mind getting sick from the shot because then I get it over with." confuse the hell out of me and if I can still get a different strain, what's the point? Nope. Juice and vitamins.

Yeah, I got the flu last year about a month after I got the shot. Apparently is was some other strain. Seemed to defeat the purpose.

Didn't get mine yet but I will. My school district is giving them to employees for free the first week in November. I usually wait until late October to get mine anyways. I'm not really sure if it helps prevent the flu...I've had two years where I got the shot but got the flu anyways but I guess most years I've stayed pretty healthy throughout flu season after getting the shot.

I usually do. We get them for free through work and it's super quick and usually pretty painless. I know it won't necessarily work, but it also could, so I figure for free, why not?

I got one last year, but haven't gotten one this season yet. It's too late for you now, but immediately after you get it done, you need to massage the area and move your arm around to work the muscles and it won't be sore.

I will be getting it. I'm still on the fence about them but with my job (working with children) I feel better getting one.

I've never gotten one and don't plan to. I don't see the point since I've never gotten the flu and for the same reason others have said. Last year DH got the flu and was over it within a week and he doesn't get the flu shot either.

I never have and dont plan to. I have an autoimmune disorder and I am not taking the chance of getting sick because of something I do to myself voluntarily.

I did. I've gotten it for the past 7 years. I've never had any soreness or anything from it though.

sorry you hurt! I get it bc it's free (and obnoxiously promoted) at work. And I get grief from coworkers and stuff if I don't. If I get a cold it's all "if you had gotten the flu shot, you wouldn't be sick" um no, a cold =/= flu... Whatever... Just easier to get it and avoid the pestering.
