Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Re: Kitchen Remodel Cost
If you do not move the location of the sink, stove and fridge, you will save a substantial amount.
There are some nice high definition laminates out there worthy of consideration.
Shop for bargains, but to not buy the lowest end of cabinets. or other products.
I believe in saving the $$ needed and paying cash for almost everything. Save first - then spend in my motto by which I live. A loan or using credit cards will cost you more.
I agree that you should pay cash for everything and end up paying less in the end, but it is absolutely NOT true that you get a better deal on a car if you pay cash. The dealer would prefer you to finance because they make money on that end also. Sorry, off topic, but I had to correct pp.
