    I feel your pain on the working all the time thing. The only job I've ever had where I didn't work weekends was my summer job at PennDot during my first time at college. Oh and my work-study job. I've also had to work holidays, and that really sucks. But I better get used to it I guess!

    I work for a group doing targeted drug design.  Basically, some cancers are associated with viral-infection.  This group identified one particular protein that they are specifically designing drugs for.  Block the protein, block the viral infection, kill the cancer cells.

    It's endlessly more complicated than that, but that's the general idea. I'm also in the midst of finishing an older paper from grad school (also virus/cancer-related) and doing an 8-week grant writing workshop.  Go, go, go.

    small wedding in the bronx. i the only problem was my bridemaids dresses.. davids bridal send them the wrong sizes and to top it off the dress got discontinued without any notice.   the groomsmen wore sneakers it matched the bridesmaids dresses and for the reception i changed into sneakers (husband is a sneakerhead) .. the day went so fast .  it was how i always dream about

    Aww sounds like you had a great day with no major problems! 
    I ended up barefoot at the end of our reception. But I made it almost all day in my shoes! All my bridesmaids changed into flip flops.

    I love your cake! Very simple and elegant.  

    I think my cake was my favorite detail at my wedding :) Both the look and the flavor SO good.  Annnd now I want some!

    Oh!  You did that??  We had a big party after our super small destination wedding, but the night when so fast that I lost track of everything.  I didn't even think of the cake until the morning so we didn't save the top.  Let us know how it tastes!!

    Any big plans for your anniversary?
