The baby is here!

Erin had her baby this morning at 10:55 via emergency c section! I don't have all the details yet, but it's a little boy and his name is Logan James! 7 lbs 4 ozs 20" long.

I don't know why she had to have the section but she said she would update everyone later after she got some rest.

Congrats to the A family!!!

Thank you all! What a long couple of days! After three miserable days of contractions with little progress I finally go I for my induction last night. I wanted it to be awhile past my due date in hopes of avoiding the induction and a c-section. Things started out well...skipped foley bulb because I was 3cm and 90% effaced...looked like a lil pitocin and I'd be good to go. Got my epidural (which took 2 tries) and was amazing and started the waiting game....until my doctor broke my water. Logan's heartbeat was dropping dangerously low during contractions. No matter how I turned, he just couldn't handle them. They turned off the pitocin and tried to refill the fluids with something that mimics amniotic fluid. If that worked they were going to slowly restart the pitocin and keep a lose eye on the monitors...but nope, heartbeat remained low so she immediately took me into the OR to not take any chances. Definitely a scary morning, but so worth every fear in the end.

Seriously!!! This kid was probably planning on living there forever! I have some surgical pain, but other that I'm doing great. Ready to go home....but have to stay that extra night for c-section. And yes seeing his face definitely makes every little step worth it!
