NBR: Wacky Wednesday Poll
Dang it, I almost forgot again. I fail when I am sick.
1) What did you major in? (Or, if you don't have a degree, what would you have majored in?)
2) What would you get a degree in (and where) if money and your existing brain power/creativity were no object?

Re: NBR: Wacky Wednesday Poll
2) My goal in life is to be a full time student for the rest of my days, racking up degree after degree that I never have any intention of using. I think I might start with meteorology. Or civil engineering. Because I think weather and building shit is cool. Or maybe landscape planning or some kind of horticultural something or other. Where I went would likely depend on what degree I was working on. Though, if I decided to matriculate for the rest of my days, I suppose it would be nice to do it all in one place.
Sugar & Spice
Master of Divinity (Applied Theology)
2. MD at the College of Med at the University of British Columbia
2) If I could do life over, I would have majored in computer science/engineering and been a programmer. I don't think I care about it badly enough to spend the money going back to school, but that would be my ideal (but realistic) career.

My sweet babies:

Major in Communications/Advertising, Minor in American Studies
I wanted to double major in theater, but I couldn't handle the competitiveness of the theater program. So had my delicate sensibilities not been an issue, I would have majored in theater.
I'm getting my MFA in fiction writing for children/YA right now, so that's sort of my dream degree right there.
1. I have a degree in English education.
2. I would just love to keep taking classes. I love going to school - books, architecture, art, history - almost anything.
1. Nursing
2. Theology
2) I would go to culinary school I think, maybe take some business classes too if I could. Or major in theatre. Or do all three and my husband and I would open a dinner theatre. That'd be awesome.
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”

2. I absolutely loved my major, but I'm not using it. If I could, I would get a PhD or at least a Master's and possibly teach.
Some days I also have a crazy fantasy of going back to do something medical related, like physical therapy or pharmacy...but then I remember I'm bad at chemistry, lol. That and I could never afford it. I don't know, maybe I'll figure it out one day.

I would go back to be a teacher. Or study history and literature.
When I went back 2 years ago to finish my degree, I decided on Business Administration with an HR Concentration (because it's what my company will pay for). I'll graduate in May (finally!).
my read shelf:
- in undergrad I majored in Psychology. In grad school, I got my Masters in Educational Psychology with specializations in Abnormal Child Psychopathology and Special Education. I went on to get my EdS in School Psychology.
