Re: ~3T Check-In~

  • Calling the Dr today to see about an IUD. It's been hard b/c I feel like this is putting the nail in the coffin. I know they are going to want me to wait until I get my period. That's probably good b/c we were kind of careless this past month, hence wanting the IUD. I don't think I am pregnant though, but good just to be sure.

I don't really like scary movies.

FFC: My FB friend posted some sewing projects, including a pair of baby booties that she made for a gift, on FB. People jumped on the baby shoe picture with comments like "OMG BABY!!!!" and "it's about time!!!!!" She was like "yeah, not an announcement." Now they all look like idiots and I find it kind of gratifying.

  • I'm still waiting for this faux pregnancy to end. This weeks ultrasound showed a tiny bit of size growth (still not viable), enough to see my body hasn't gotten the message yet. I go back next week for another ultrasound and if nothing happens naturally before then we'll probably schedule the D&C. I don't want one but I also don't want this to continue for several more weeks.

QOTW: I don't necessarily have a favorite but I love all scary movies as long as I can watch at home with my hands or a pillow in front of my eyes.

Joining you ladies. ((hugs)) @LooneyLife and @Flamingo86.

I marked today as CD1, because the spotting I've been having seemed heavy enough, but I'm still not having any of the gut-wrenching cramps that always accompany AF's grand arrival. I know this cycle didn't work; my body just needs to get the message and be done with it already. It's majorly bumming me out.

STILL waiting for a call from an insurance rep so I can figure out if further testing will be covered or not. If it's not, we pretty much can't make any moves until we've worked down some current debt/figured out how to pay for it. I might try talking to DH about seeing a urologist for the time being.

I love scary movies! I don't think I really have a favorite, although Paranormal Activity freaked me out more than most do. I've enjoyed things like ghost tours, but otherwise, I'm not a fan of actually being part of a scary situation (like Halloween haunted house tours with people jumping out at you). I'm better with haunted hay rides, though I haven't gone on one in years.

  • @looneylife I'm so sorry. I truly believe there are few things worse than having to walk around with a non-viable pregnancy inside you. I hope things can happen naturally, but in my experience the d&c wasn't nearly as bad as I had expected it to me. I psyched myself out way too much over it and it was over very quickly.

Thank you for these words.  I think I've "made peace" with the fact that there is no baby.  But in a way that complicates my feelings.  I don't know where I belong.  I know technically it's a miscarriage, but in my mind that's reserved for people losing a baby.  There never was a baby in my case.  It could be a defense mechanism, but I don't feel like I'm losing a child.  I just feel like I've lost yet another chance at having a child.  And to me there's a difference.

Anyway, I'm terrified of the experience of a natural miscarriage, but I'm also terrified of the D&C.  I honestly want to give my body a chance but at the same time I'm ready to move on.  It's a weird place to be.

  • Trying to psych myself up to get the bloodwork done I need- part of the RPL panel and then the karotyping stuff.  I can't decide it I'm just scared of more needles/hate the process or if not doing it is my mind's way of saying I'm done.

Hugs Flamingo. I'm not brave enough for that yet.

@ mathgal1025, I did the RPL and karotyping, it is only one needle, I was scared to do it too. ((HUGS))

  • @LooneyLife hugs to you too. I'm sorry you are going through this. Are you guys back at work yet? Since I'm DoD they called us back.

I'm not doing another NCIVF. I got pregnant again on my own in July and lost that really early. Everyone is now thinking that the ectopic was a random fluke since my other tube looks fine. They think I have other unknown issues that cause early repeat misscarriages.

I've also been diagnosed with Celiacs and have been Gfree (like 98%) since Feb. That is known to cause issues with early loss. I just don't know anymore. The specialist I saw ( a MFM doctor that looks into early loss since the REs in this area only focus on true IF and do IVF) wants us to check for chromosome issues in DH and me and finish a part of the RPL my doctor left off the lab slip.  That is our last chance to get concrete answers, after that if it comes back fine, we have no idea what to do do help us.

Oh, I'm so sorry.  I don't think I knew about your most recent loss.  I hope that once you're ready for the rest of the RPL you can get some answers.  It must be so frustrating to know that their could be a solution out there if you could just figure out the problem.

As for work, we're both still home and going crazy!  The civilians at our base went back but I'm a contractor and we're not allowed to work until the budget is established.  DH is not DoD so he's still home too.  We at least know he'll get paid (eventually) but I won't, so I filed for unemployment at the beginning of the week.  Aside from the financial part of it, we're balls deep in boredom (to borrow a quote from one of my new fav movies).

We're waiting for DH's SA results and I'm waiting for CD 1 to schedule my HSG. I'm expecting it by next weekend if I O'ed when I think I did. I'm testing tomorrow just to be sure since I want to have some drinks and I'm on CD 36 (I think).

I am not much for scary movies but Saw would be my favorite. The earlier ones were better than the later ones.

Updates: DH's SA is tomorrow, More bloodwork for me tuesday along with my HSG. I will be soooo glad to have all this testing done but I'm sure the SECOND I'm done with it i'll be whining about how long the wait is for the follow-up appt.

QOTW:  What is your favorite scary movie/scary activity?Mmm I love them all, even the kinda cheesy ones.  If you want gross, go with Hostel or Saw, Spooky go with Paranormal activity, another classic is Amityville Horror.  I used to love going to haunted houses during halloween season. Haven't been ina while though.  Up in Jerome we have a haunted mansion and I want to spend the night there!

FFC/AW of the Week (no rules): Super FFC: (I'm a horrible horrible person for this) I feel like my bf who just announced shes nine weeks (started trying in august) doesn't deserve it, doesn't understand how lucky she is, and generally want to burst into tears every time I think about it. I feel like she should have had to try longer. I'm an angry bitter person. Please don't throw me out. Maybe one day I won't feel like that, but right now . . .sigh . . I do.  I have no AW for this week because I've been a sad little mop and have done very little thats productive.

@dangermuffin23- It's a hard position to be in.  Don't beat yourself up- you feel what you feel.  I know I've been in that position before and it sucked and it felt really unfair (because it fucking is).  I am sure most 3Ters can sympathize with where you are right now, and I am sorry.   All the feels.

  • @DangerMuffin23, as one of my friends messaged me and said yesterday, "You're allowed to feel sad and angry. Don't bury the feelings--let them flow." We all have felt that way from time to time. It's ok!

I'm happy (but sad at the same time) that you and @LuckyAngel07 are joining us over here. I wish no one had to go through this but at least we have such a great support system of ladies on this board! I don't know what I would do without it!

~My Bitter Bitches Be the Best~

  • Man, I was going to name all those that need hugs, but there's so many this week :( (((hugs))) and prayers for so many of you.

No update here. I've been so on edge just wondering if I'm going to O again and if so, when. I am temping again, so we'll see. I don't expect to see anything for a couple more weeks (if at all) though. It would be amazing if I was starting to O on my own again...

QOTW: I do NOT do scary movies. I hate being scared and freaked out and it just makes me angry. If I watch a scary movie, I don't sleep for days (weeks). The last "scary" movie I probably saw was in high school - I Know What You Did Last Summer... which is probably nothing compared to scary crap now!!

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

  • I actually have an update this week.  We had our first RE appointment yesterday so now we're just waiting for CD1 to start my tests and Dh's S/A which will be in mid-November.  I don't think I've ever wanted to start bleeding so bad in my life.

Ohh I love scary movies.  Horror is my favorite genre.  I love The Shining, The Amityville Horror and most recently really liked Sinister.  Oh, and Dawn of the Dead is probably my favorite.
