FRIDAY CONFESSIONS!

I'm currently the completely sympathyless childless woman shooting dirty looks at the haggard mother letting her children run wild in Starbucks. I felt a little bit guilty until she wiped the kid's nose and then threw the napkin on the floor.

Please pray I hear from the company today. They are going to be starting the new person on Monday so I will hear from them today or I didn't get the job. If I don't hear from them then we are calling my parents and letting them know we are coming. They will be happy they have asked us to come up to live with them each time we talk with them. I am just so worried.

It is people like that, that give mothers bad names.

(for the run-down, she got yearly shots, a urine test (old girls get UTIs often, plus she's got to pee all the damn time), heartworm stuff, a minor surgery to drain a hematoma in her ear flap, and bloodwork to make sure she's okay to have the anesthesia to do the surgery)
Plus this is the dog that hates all people except for her people, so they're probably keeping her muzzled at least part of the time.

I'm actually meaner about this now that I am a mom. If I get to go someplace quiet and relaxing (coffee shop/bookstore/library) by myself, it makes me furious if there are kids making a huge ruckus. Before I could almost think that it was cute. No more. I'm totally cold hearted on my pursuit of alone time.

I'm in Northen CA, and we can totally hang out. I'll be your friend here! (I have no idea what part of Northen CA you would move too, but still. I hope you get the job and can stay where you are, but if not you won't be alone here!

sfgiantsjo - I will be headed to the Fresno area. Oakhurst to be precise. I will take you up on that sometime after we are settled if we move.

Piggy-backing on this confession and adding that I am so sick of the Hump Day thing because my aunt posts the videos/photos/joke/status every. single. freaking. Wednesday. and I refuse to check FB anymore on those days.

@hoycie - Nope. Unfortunately, it wasn't a "thing" when our dogs were puppies - they're nearly 13 now and have all the health issues to go with it. Between our 2 we've run the gamut - River's had both her back legs TPLO'd and had some tumors removed, as well as some other issues. Janka's been relatively healthy, but now her enzyme levels are off the chart and the doc wants to take ultrasounds of her gallbladder and liver.

We do have CareFirst, which is basically a credit card you can only use for vets and doctors, you work out a payment plan with the company for 6 months to a year and they don't charge interest unless you screw up the payments.

We tried to get PI after River's first TPLO, and were denied, but that was 7 or 8 years ago. I should try again now that more companies are offering it.
