    ***spoiler warning***

Because no one ever has become invested in a movie or book character before? And yes, people generally freak out when a favorite character gets killed off.

I have only read the first Bridget Jones' Diary, so I can't say I'm invested in the characters, but considering the killing off that happens in GOT, I've got to say that I get pretty darn perturbed whenever someone I like gets axed! I totally understand this kind of reaction from avid readership of any variety!
