Thursday Randoms

I just got back from the dentist and have my very first sign of a cavity ever so now I have to get a sealant and it makes me sad. But my teeth feel fabulous now so that part is good.

I get to leave work early today and I am super excited about it because I'm wore out.

My hubby and I celebrate our 13th anniversary on Saturday and I got a new purse but I have no idea what to get him!

I came in a different door to my buiding today and got lost for about 20 minutes. In my defense, I got moved to this building 2 weeks ago and only work here 2 days a week.

How is it possible that I am older than Eminem??????????????? How did this happen. Granted I will admit to being much more mature than Eminem but I refuse to be older than him.

I just found out that The Avett Brothers played in Dewey Beach this summer and I missed it. I am so pissed. It is a super small venue and it would have been awesome to see them there!!!

I feel the same way except that my family is the one that's needy. I can't stand holidays anymore. It's sad that I actually dread Christmas. I actually volunteered to host this year just so I didn't have to pick a side. If you want to see us you can show up at our house, otherwise peace out. I don't give a rat's ass anymore.

DHs family is an absolute pain when it comes to the holidays. We typically fly into one airport to see one family and out where the other lives. We rent a car to drive from one family to the other in the middle of the holiday. DH's family always complains about picking us up at the airport and driving us back! He finally told them this year that they need to get on board with whatever we decide to do. They also complained last year that they didn't see us on Christmas Day when we had already spent more time with them than we spent with mine,

@sonore32 - Me either!! I am always so busy or tired. There's always some assignment looming over my head. Clinical hours take forever to reach all of and they are almost always in the evenings after a long day at work. Ugh.

@booknerd226 - Yep! For me just replace clinical hours with "should be practicing" and we're in the same boat. I miss the days when H and I just both had normal full time jobs and got real weekends. Back then we actually took a nap almost every Sunday afternoon...since we both started back to school last year I can count on one hand the number of times that has happened!

Methinks it's time to stay at home for the holidays this year!

That would drive me insane! I would boycott the holidays and spend it at home with my dog.

Unfortinately, this is the route to go. I am the total Grinch during the holidays and I get so upset because it used to be one of my favorite holidays.

@sonore32 - I forgot we used to nap on Sundays too

We'd eat breakfast, run some errands, and fall asleep watching TV right after lunch.

@booknerd226 - I've definitely really been missing our pre-back to school life recently and have actually had to be intentional about making sure to think of everything I'm thankful for instead of everything I'm not liking about this season of my life. If you ever need anyone to vent to I'm always here
