  • After 8 weeks on orders DH is not coming home indefinitely because one of the morons in his unit miscounted their weapons.  I threw a big giant baby fit yesterday and I don't feel bad at all.  Big girl panties have been thrown away, also indefinitely.

  • I'm addicted to the news.  It's pretty much all that's on before 8PM in our house.  Still, somehow, I seem to miss the details.  I get a pretty good overview.  I get all weird if I don't know what's going on in the world.  I could live without Facebook, but not the news.

    I'm right there with ya. It's just depressing. Unless DH brings something up or I see something posted on here about it, I am clueless. I don't watch TV in general very much though. I don't even watch the weather.

  • @SacGeoLover, so sorry to hear that..

    @NocturnalIntimacy CONGRATS! Love the name!

    I hate the Katy Perry song "Roar" so, so much.  It's like cliché after cliché.  I'm over her.

    Also, I plan on spending most of my day at work planning for NaNoWriMo.

    This is me, kind of. I'll watch political or world news, but I hate watching local news. I don't want to know about the horrible things happening in my community.

    I watch the news in the morning when I am getting ready for work and sometimes at night when I am at the gym. If for no other reason, I like to know the weather before I leave the house. Even if it turns out they are wrong and it doesn't end of raining, I still like to have a rain coat just in case.  I get irrationally annoyed when my co-workers complain that they didn't know it was going to rain/snow/whatever but also didn't bother to check before heading out the door.

  • @SacGeoLover - So sorry :(

    @NocturnalIntimacy - Congrats! Boys are so fun. I hope I have all boys.

    My confession is that I keep getting easily irritated at little stuff and frustrated when I can't get something to work correctly. I know I have too much on my plate right now but I'm too grouchy to do anything about it, not that I'd know where to start. So, I basically confess that I'm so irritable I'm irritating myself and yet I'm being an idiot and not doing anything to fix it.

  • I came to Panera to write and left my phone at home.  I have a piece of gossip and neither one of the people I want to share it with are online and without my phone I can't text them.  It's making me antsy.

  • Ugh, I just looked at pictures from Wes's first birthday party, and I'm so disappointed with myself.  I really need to get back to tracking my food better. This crap just has to stop!

  • One of my jobs is to track everything we do and to create scorecards to track errors made by other co-workers. My office mate came up with the idea for the scorecards but she hasn't actually done them since July. They are a side project that is on the backburner for now but I know if I don't do them, I'll get in trouble so I keep up with them every other week. I'm annoyed that I have to keep up with them but there's no way to mention anything to my boss about her not doing them without looking like a snitch and I'll get nothing for doing my job. Also, when I ask her about them, she gets defensive.

    I'm living the same thing right now. The wedding from hell was a giant waste of time and money. Though, I could have guessed this would be the outcome from the day they got engaged.

  • We are having money problems and just financed a dining room set. Pretty irresponsible. No shame. Our previous dining room table only sat 6 if you really liked the people you were next to. Only 4 when the chairs were sitting in the correct spots. It was falling apart.
    We needed a big change in the house. And now we have one.

  • I'm traveling for work and today is my last day. I'm skipping the last big luncheon so I can go home before the major commute starts. BART, the major commuter rail system in SF is on strike, and I just don't want to deal with the traffic.

    Part 2: having dinner alone with my kindle each night has been heavenly.
