I just stopped listening to Bitter is the New Black.  I might get back to it.  I hear that if you get through the first half, it's much better, but I'm putting it down to listen to the PNR read, Stormwalker. #59

I LOVED this book of hers. If I got through Magic Bites, you can get through that. lol

I think reading it would be better than listening to it.

Nothing at the moment. Last night I finished (for the first time) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

It was #27 for the year.

I'm hoping to get my copy of Insurgent back from my mom tomorrow so I can re-read it before Allegiant arrives next week!

  • I just finished Just One Year by Gayle Forman last night (#46/60). It was good but not great. Now I'm back to The Rose Garden by Susanna Kearsley (#47/60), which I ditched for JOY. I'm enjoying it so far, but I'm not that far into it yet.

I'm listening to The Distant Hours by Kate Morton (#48/60). I just have a few hours left, and I can't wait to see how it will all turn out!

  • Still struggling with Magic Bites. It's been rough. It's #52 for the year. I'm pretty behind on my goal.

I have to agree. I loved Such a Pretty Fat, which is the first JL book I read. I think she is hilarious, but I remember thinking that she bitches a lot when I first started reading her stuff. I love her now though.

  • Still 1/4 into Just One Year by Gayle Forman. Hoping to finish it up this weekend so I can start on Time After Time by Tamara Ireland Stone.

Ha, fair enough.  I do think I will probably get back to it.  I mean, she's funny, but not so endearing at this part.  I think that's probably the point, but I want to roll my eyes a bit.  Just passed the part about the couch.

  • I am reading the new Bridget Jones.  It is only okay so far.  I'm listening to The Red Pyramid, which I am not enjoying as much as the Percy Jackson books.
  • Almost done with Blood Bound, good second book in the Mercy Thompson series.  After that I will be starting Grave Intent.
Jessica, Married to Brian 12/27/03, Mom to Alex 6/27/94, Devin 10/29/04, and Emily 1/15/07
  • I'm still working on Clash of Kings. Loving it but wishing it would go faster.

  • I finally finished The Tipping Point and started Tell the Wolves I'm Home. I've been waiting for this ebook forever so I'm really glad it came in! I'm really enjoying it so far.

Yeah I always get so bummed for Harry. When do you think you will be starting Goblet of Fire (which was when I became completely hooked)?

  • I am reading Will Grayson, Will Grayson and LOVING IT! It's so fun so far! I am only about a third of the way through.

And then since that is a hardcover, I am reading a book on my Nook (I needed something to read on the treadmill and elliptical) called The View from Here by Cindy Myers that I got in the last $2.99 and less Nookbook sale. And I am enjoying it as well!

They will be 100 and 101 for the year!

  • I have 20 pages left to go in Me Before You and I seriously considered being late to work so I could finish it. I'm counting the minutes until my first break so I can do it. I don't even care if I ugly cry in the breakroom. I HAVE TO KNOW.

    My favorite Cake Wreck ever.

  • Plodding into The Fires of Heaven, the 5th in the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.  I've got a couple of ebooks on hold from the library where I'm near the front of the line and I'd bet that they'll all come in at the same time, so this might get put aside for a while if/when that happens.  ;-)

Sometime after November 1st. I'm reading them free through Amazon Prime, and only get one book per month to read.

I was so upset for Harry in the first book with how they treated him, I almost didn't want to keep reading! But I'm glad I did. =)

  • I'm reading Endless Knight by Kresley Cole and listening to Wither by Lauren de Stephano.
Endless Knight is my kind of book. Kresley Cole can go from funny to serious to such raw emotion without missing a beat and I'm eating it up.

I'm kind of meh on Wither. Maybe if I'd read it a few years ago when I was obsessed with dystopian stuff I would've like it more, but some of the things in the story, mostly small details, seem implausible and I'm just not in love with it.

Amazon Prime rocks. If you ever need to read ahead let me know and I'll try and lend them. Are they lendable?

  • Still trying to make myself read Gone Girl #19, but I just don't have time. I'm only like 30 pages in. I may just have to come back to it when I have time. Right now, I need quick reads.

I'm also listening to Catching Fire (reread) before the movie comes out next month.
