I'm really scared to read Allegiant... (NS obvs)

Like... I'm dreading it. I have a feeling I'm going to hate it :(

Someone tell me I'm not going to hate it.

Exactly! I hate to admit it- but I feel like I should have reread book 2. I feel a little lost so far.

  • Is this going to be like The Maze Runner for me?  I loved the first book, second book was just okay, and then I hated the third book.  Now I'm mega nervous but kind of happy I didn't purchase.

  • I got about 70 pages in, not sure what chapter.  Meh, so far.  Too many people I don't remember.  I'm sure it will get better, but... yea.

  • So far I am loving book 1.  I am on Chapter 18.

I don't want to hear that the books get worse as I go on.  :(

    Boo.
    90 books in 2015?

  • If you go right into one into the next- you probably won't be as lost as I feel right now LOL

Clearly I lacked the focus to keep all the characters and details in check after I finished book 2

  • I was thinking of reading the whole series over break and someone posted on my FB that book 3 has ruined everything for her (helpful, I know). Now I'm wary to read them at all.

So if you read it (lie to me if you have to) tell me it's amazing.

  • OK- let's just put it out there. Even if book 3 sucks- can it really be as bad as the fan fiction called Breaking Dawn???  It can't, right? (please, it can't!)

  • I ended up liking it. It took me time to get into it and I had to process it overnight but I think she did a good job wrapping it up.

Nowhere near it, promise! Although it would have been super special to read about a demon baby lovechild claw out of Tris's belly mid-rebellion.

  • I'm around pg 150. It started picking up a little but I didn't do a reread and I was kind of lost so I'm sure that didn't help matters. Also, SO MANY CHARACTERS! I have no idea who most of them even ARE

It's still one of my favorite series! Read it then let's discuss!

Say what? This is Twilight? This is what my sister is raving about all the time?

  • Oh dear.  This is not helping.  I'm kind of debating not even bothering to start.

I may have to move them up now. I need to be in the loop on this haha.

  • I re-read Insurgent and I'm still waiting for Allegiant to really take off. I can't seem to follow who people are and where they're going or what they are doing. I'll keep reading but it's just not sucking me in. This makes me sad because I loved Divergent.

That is literally all I have to say about any discussion involving Divergent.

  • I'm on chapter 41. Jury is still out for me. That's all I am going to say because I don't want spoil anything. FWIW, I did reread books 1 & 2 before starting. I think it helps.
