  • We watched that movie, it really wasn't as horrible as I expected! But I had pretty low expectations...

My FFC: I've convinced myself that this cycle was a bust because I got a BFN this AM... at 9DPO. I mean I'm totally fine with it if that's the case. But also I should know better than to think everyone gets a BFP by 9DPO...

Sometimes I wish my Mom lived any where else but in the same state as me. Her and my Dad have been divorced for years but live in the same town and I really wish she would just move so I can visit my Dad without ever having to run into her or think about seeing her.

    Good enough confession?

So I finally sent her a message about how much I love her and am happy for her, but how hard this is for me. I really hope she takes it well and doesn't get offended at me having a hard time.

No, it's not really common, but things like this normally comes in "threes" so I'm still waiting for the day I find out something else is extra, lol. DH likes to joke that I'm less genetically evolved than him. But otherwise, nope, can't see any of these things on the surface, just X-rays, so it def doesn't look like I have a tail, haha.

  • We're probably one week away from getting a contract and borrowing lots of dollars for this new house.

At the moment, we live very comfortably, and this will be a pretty large shock to the system.

The plan has always been that we were planning to have me stay home with children. The other day, H jokingly mentioned that if we didn't move, I could stay home now, without kids. We have enough saved for the down payment to pay off our current mortgage.

As much as I hate our current house, I was more tempted by that than I'd like to admit.

I have a coworker that laments about the fact that she'll never be able to be as small as the other girls she competes against in bikini contests because she has extra ribs.  She also claims to have no sweat glands, hollow teeth, and an uncle with three nipples.  Soooooooo, yeah.

If someone out there weren't tempted by this, I'd be amazed. I'd absolutely consider staying right where we are right now if I had enough money saved up to just pay off the mortgage and stay home!

  • @poppies717 I couldn't agree more. We had a 'pink day' at the office yesterday and although I have many women in my family/friend network with breast cancer or who are survivors, I do not support the "wear a color to raise awareness" unless it directly helps the cause (which it rarely, if ever does)

  • I was more annoyed than I should have been when there wasn't an UO thread yesterday. I had a good one.

This one will totally out me if my family lurks, but for @seahorse01, I'm willing to do it. I have a dermoid on my eye. Don't Google it. It will terrify you. Mine is not scary or super gross at all. It's basically a piece of skin and doesn't hurt/harm me at all, but it's kind of gross. It's just the big white spot in the middle of my iris. Now gimme my baby!

Oh, and UO? I hate all the pinkwashing in October. Breast cancer exists. I get it. Instead of spending money on cheap pink shit, can we just donate our money to find a fucking cure for breast cancer and all cancers? I've had too many types of cancer in my family (including breast on DH's side) to just sit back and watch the NFL players run around with pink stuff on. Most of the money made from all the pink NFL stuff doesn't even go to the ACS. (http://tracking.si.com/2013/10/16/pink-nfl-merchandise-breast-cancer-research/). Don't even get me started on the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Well I Googled.  I couldn't help myself.  Okay. You can have a baby now.  Take them all.

I totally agree on the Pinktober.  And Susan G. Komen.  Right there with you.
