When I was in LA, I would say Mexican food and sushi were amazing. I miss amazing sushi.
HOWEVER, I feel like seafood in general is better in the Northeast where I currently live. Lobster here is the best.
I love their shrimp cocktail :-) It's one of my favorites.

Agreed on the Chicago style pizza- Lou Malnati's or Giordanos is where it's at. That said, I also like our thin crust pizzas.

You have no idea how much I miss good Mexican food. When I say this in Boston, the response is, "Have you tried Chipotle???"
Dude. Just no.
We moved from SC about a year ago. I miss the grits, especially cheese grits. If you can even find them on a menu up here, don't get them. They are disgusting. I make them at home on Sundays.
The area I live in also has amazing Polish and Italian food... Paczki and hot Italian grinders. Mmmmm There are also a TON of apple orchards, so have an apple for dessert
