The property management in my office changed the paper towels in the bathrooms. They are thinner and not nearly as absorbent as the others. It is really bothering me.

I confess I have to go to a baby shower this Saturday and I REALLY don't want to go!
It's for one of my bridesmaids. She's having the baby with her H's best friend (obviously her and her H are no longer together but are not divorced yet). I don't want to be judge-y but I just...I'm finding it hard to be happy for her.
I find it really hard not to judge my sister's whole family. They are just a big huge train wreck.
Most recently my sister's divorce to H#2 was finally finalized after 6 years. But I really hope it doesn't mean she's going to marry her current BF. He's a piece of crap. Example, her DD17 was sick and BF and DS21 were home. She called her BF to pick her up since we was at work over an hour away... does BF go get her? No... he wakes my nephew up who said no way... so my sister had to get our dad to go get her... and he's 45 mins away. WTH! He was so pissed to find 2 grown a$$ men at home... Her BF was also chugging moonshine on our vacation a few years ago at 10am. He had 2 kids (8 and 10), and had our stepkids, this was a FAMILY vacation, not get drunk everyday vacation. Yes I had a few winecoolers - when the kids were asleep. You are 5-10 years older than me, GROWNUP!
Oh and my nephew is moving in with his GF... been living at home for a year after his fiancee left him, and still doesn't have a car. He drives my parent's truck, leaving them with 1 car. BUY A CAR and stop mooching. He had a good job installing fire sprinklers, with benefits and quit because they wanted him to go to new jersery (1.5 hours away) for a job. You go where there's work.
Here's my fun confession - I totally plan to put our christmas tree up before Thanksgiving. I love coming home from NC with it already up for me to enjoy. There's not enough time between Thanksgiving and Christmas for me!
Stupid HOA! We get a letter saying we need to paint the trim so I called to see of they had the color on record and got a bitch on the phone who would not help at all but made sure to remind us that we have to submit for architectural review if we plan to paint. Wtf!! Our future home will not be in an HOA! Uggg
Frustrated w/ H a little. I think he is feeling pressured w/ the TTC. He thinks that my charting is planning it out too much. I told him I know it could still take a year for us to conceive even by doing it but at least I now know what's going on with my body. I confessed to him that it makes me a little resentful when he talks like its not a big deal if it takes a long time because if it were up to me, it wouldn't have taken 5 years to get married and another year before trying. It hasn't been up to me though. I know it's a not irrational though and I wouldn't have wanted to do either without H on the same page but it frustrates me. End rant.
I just want to go home and watch scary movies!! DH is in PA visiting family, so I'm staying at my parents (someone once tried to break into my apartment in law school so I hate sleeping alone now) AND my parents are making me the classic Halloween meal they always made me growing up: Sloppy Joe's, Bloody Fingers (french fries and ketchup), and Apple Skulls (just apples cut into skull shapes.)
I confess that I really have to pee but am avoiding it. These overalls are a B to unhook. I just don't want to deal with it. PS how were overalls ever cool? These things make me look like I gained 10 pounds putting them on. Glad this is a style that died!
@Seipel12 Overalls look terrible! I used to have brown corduroy overalls in middle school. I cringe when I look at myself in pictures with them on.
My confession is I have grown to hate Halloween. I loved it growing up and when I was in college. Now that I am a teacher, it's the worst day of the year. The kids are wild, you can't get anything productive done and then they're all hyped up for like 3 days after. I was thankful last year that school was closed on Halloween due to the hurricane.
I want to love it, I really do. I want a house so I can decorate and have trick or treaters and smile when they ring my bell. I just want to call in sick during the day...
@sjs1013 now that I'm working with regular ed kids who know what Halloween is, I understand! My kids were decent for most of the day, but the last hour or so was horrible! My friend said she wants to never, ever work Nov. 1st again, but we're having a guided reading PD during the day tomorrow and don't have much choice. I'm scared! haha.
I confess that my car's battery light came on today and I was so glad! I've been having battery problems for the last year or so and last week it left me stranded at a really busy intersection. We're pretty sure it's the alternator. H has said that he wants to get me a new car, and while I'd totally love that, we just bought the house and aren't ready to take on another payment. As soon as it came on I called him and told him I was taking it to get fixed. I have a rental car until tomorrow! I'm so relieved to be getting it fixed so that we don't have to worry about it at all.
I confess that I also have been separating candy to hand out to the kids. I have piles for when the bowl gets low. I haven't had to break into my stash yet.
I also confess that it really makes me angry that people bring huge groups of kids into our neighborhood to go treat or treating. I truly think that it is sooooo rude. I grew up in a neighborhood that sucked to go trick or treating in because the houses were so far apart. We were never allowed to go to another neighborhood. Maybe I'm just a Halloween grinch too. I really don't ever want to hand out candy again.
Well mine is a 2003 jetta...It's in decent condition, but it's not exactly new! I just got the call that it's not actually the alternator, but it's the main cable that connects the alternator to the starter and it runs through the body of my car, so it took them 6 hours to diagnose. They said it was completely corroded which was causing it to not charge my battery. The fuse box that's connected to that cable was also corroded....but the good news is that it'll be done Monday afternoon, they're only charging me 2 hours of labor, and then paying for my rental car! Woohoo!
