Re: Happy Friday!! What are you reading?

  • I'm still reading interview with the vampire. I should finish it this week. It's good.

November is one of my fave months. I love the fall. Our trees are just hitting their turning color peak this week, me and Kevin's 8th anniversary is the 5th, thanksgiving, and heading to Mexico for our annual trip for 2 weeks on the 30th. Looking forward to getting bak there after my appendix blowing up there last year. ::sigh:: only me.
Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!! my read shelf:
Alison's book recommendations, favorite quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
  • I've started a couple of books, Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas and Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey, and a book on writing short stories, but my reading will probably be slow this month. I've got NaNo, helping my MIL recover from her surgery, three friend's books to beta read, and about 5 student essay assignments I'll have to grade.

I've still got audiobooks though! Right now I"ve got Lexicon by Max Barry going and it is really good. I think I'll start The Golem and the Jinni after I finish that one.

I'm looking forward to Archer's birthday and having a first draft of the WIP I'm working on to edit at the end of December.

  • Just started Tell the Wolves I'm home. It's fine, but it did bring my binge/speed reading to a screeching halt.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

I think I have like four things going right now... I just finished my reread of Catching Fire last night #20, I'm reading Between Shades of Gray, Gone Girl, and I'm just starting to reread Insurgent so I can remember what the heck happened before I start Allegiant.
I wish I could read more because I have a never ending t-read list, but between work and kids I hardly get time anymore :(.  I'm only 10 away from my goal of 30 for the year, so I'm going to really push myself in the next two months..
    Books Read in 2016: 4/50
