T & P's Please (a bit descriptive)
I have been spotting for the past few weeks and every time I call my Dr's office they let me know that the spotting I'm describing to them is nothing to be concerned about. But Friday night I started spotting heavily (almost felt like AF starting), and it hasn't subsided since. This morning H and I decided to have ST in the shower because of the potential spotting mess. When I went to clean up, there was a huge clot of blood and what looked like a pocket of water (about the size of a pea). I showed it to H and lost it. We both broke down knowing what it could potentially be.
I called the emergency line at my Dr's office, and they told me to put it in a paper towel and a zip lock bag and they will put it under a microscope tomorrow to see what it is. Thankfully we already had an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, and meet with our Dr. Hopefully this was nothing and baby is fine in there, but we're seriously scared shitless right now and both keep having our moments of breaking down.
We had a miscarriage over a year ago, and it was nothing like this. It was pretty much a full on period, bright red blood, and lots of cramps. This is nothing like that. So I still have my fingers crossed that this was just a fluke, but I'm also not dumb.
If you girls have any thoughts and prayers you could spare, we would really appreciate it.

There was a point in my pregnancy with Lucy that a huge bright red clot came out of me when I went to the bathroom and wiped. I'd bled multiple times, but nothing with a huge clot. When I explained it to my doc she said it was probably blood that failed to drain and just sort of congealed in my vag. I hope your' sis something similar and your ultrasound goes well tomorrow.

off bcp 11/11
a few rounds of clomid and femara... no response.
injectables/IUI 12/12... BFN
Feb 13 IVF cycle converted down to IUI due to low follicle response... BFFN
one last IVF attempt April/May 2013: 19 retrieved. 10 fertilized. 2 transferred in a 3dt. 4 frosties... BFP!!
EDD: 1/21/14... Induced early at 36+6. Our LO was born 12/30/13

I was another 1st tri spotter. If I didnt dreak enough water, spent much time on my feet or even thought about having ST, I would bleed. I had bright red, enough for a ljner, clots but it always stopped an started - nothing consistent. I hope it's the same for you!

@sparklingdiamond It isn't till 3:30. :-( I'm at the office all day until 2:30 (an hour drive to the Dr), and I'm trying to keep myself very busy.
@lb1117 Mine is very similar to that. It has definitely been brought on with ST, but we hadn't done it in 5 days when I started spotting and clotting on Friday. So I knew it wasn't to do with that. It's only bright red immediately after ST, but the stuff Friday and Saturday was dark brown with some red in it. Very similar to the spotting I have right before my period starts. Mine also stops and starts too. I can go 3 days with it, then 3 without. It's very frustrating and messes with your head.
We are fully prepared for this appointment to go in either direction this afternoon. Either it will be a wonderful appointment where we get to hear the heartbeat (according to my calculations I'm exactly 9 weeks today), or it will be an appointment where we find out what we had suspected.
