After the fourth time, I'm done
DH couldn't produce a sample for cryo today. I am so done with him being forced to do this. It's not fair to him, and it's killing him. I called my RE's office and told them that this wasn't happening. The conversation went something like this:
"This is the fourth time he's had trouble. How many more times do we have to ask him to do this before we completely break him mentally? I don't want to do this to my husband anymore. Yes, I've tried to help, and it doesn't work. No, there are no problems with this elsewhere; it's only when he has to give a sample. We need another option, and we need it now. I can't go home tonight to my distraught husband with no answers. You need to get me an answer before you leave for the day."
I can't believe I was so assertive, but they came up with a plan. They're going to give us a sterile condom and a Viagra RX, and we're going to get a hotel room near the office. DH was happy with this plan and even said, "The Viagra might be fun." The RE was a little worried about giving him the RX, but he's taken Cialis before after groin surgery and was fine. I hope this works. I think I'll pick up some condoms so he can get used to wearing one again (it's been a looooooong time).
