Recipe/Food Ideas for a Shower (BR)

A couple of friends and I are throwing a shower for another friend. She loves tea, so we're doing it in the form of a tea party.

Do you have any suggestions/recipes for tea party food? I only need savory ideas...someone else is in charge of dessert.

I've always loved doing finger sandwiches for tea parties. The only one I can recall off the top of my head at the moment is cucumber sandwiches, but I know I've made others, before!

My bridal shower was tea party-themed and we had tons of finger sandwiches; egg salad, smoked salmon and cream cheese, veggie and cream cheese, and, like Lucky said, cucumber. I think that was it. Everyone loved everything!

I agree with the finger sandwiches, PandP gave some great examples of flavors! Also perhaps varieties of cheeses or cheese spreads?

You could also do scones or biscuits (cheddar etc for savoury).

Deviled eggs, pinwheel sandwiches (I make them all the time and they're always a hit for some reason), salad, scones, macaroons, maybe some fruit salad?
