A couple of friends and I are throwing a shower for another friend.  She loves tea, so we're doing it in the form of a tea party.

Do you have any suggestions/recipes for tea party food?  I only need savory ideas...someone else is in charge of dessert.

    I've always loved doing finger sandwiches for tea parties. The only one I can recall off the top of my head at the moment is cucumber sandwiches, but I know I've made others, before!

    My bridal shower was tea party-themed and we had tons of finger sandwiches; egg salad, smoked salmon and cream cheese, veggie and cream cheese, and, like Lucky said, cucumber. I think that was it.  Everyone loved everything!

    I agree with the finger sandwiches, PandP gave some great examples of flavors!  Also perhaps varieties of cheeses or cheese spreads?

    I like doing mini chicken salad sandwiches on potato rolls. A nice cheese, cracker and fruit platter is always yummy too.

    I'm now hungry.

    I want to add: mini everything. Mini quiche, mini muffins, mini cookies.  Then when you take 7 things it doesn't feel as bad!

    I'm also with bruins, can I come too?
