  • 1) How was your weekend? Pretty decent. Did a lot of cleaning, a lot of relaxing, and not much else. Just the way I like it!

    2) What's on the agenda for your week? I have been s-l-a-c-k-i-n-g at the gym so my goal is to go at least twice and stay within my WW points every day.

    3) AW/FFC/UO/etc? Nope.

    1) Weekend was good! Still going on! I was able to see some friends from college over the weekend, and DH and I saw Thor 2. It was good, but more shirtless Thor would have made it great.
    2) DH is traveling this week for work, so I'm holding down the fort.
    3) I bought myself a new wallet this weekend while I was at Nordstrom. I badly needed a new one (I've been using the same one for 4 years).

ETA: The thread about Veterans' Day has me thinking about the people who post thanks to veterans and then go about with their griping. My UO is that the "Days of Thanks" thing that's going around is super obnoxious and borderline pretentious (people post one thing every day they are thankful for). Every single person on my feed who is doing this spends 11 months bitching about their lives. Now all of a sudden you're thankful? Oh, and one more thing. Stores should NOT open on Thanksgiving night (Best Buy is opening at 6pm?????).

  • 1) How was your weekend? It was good. Worked on our DIY reno all day Saturday. DH and my brother hung sheetrock while I painted our front door. Sunday was just errands and my mom's house for dinner (I don't like cooking on Sundays).

    2) What's on the agenda for your week? Nothing crazy. Going hard with healthy eating (my scale has been creeping upwards for the last couple of weeks). DH and I are going to sand down some spackle and hopefully prime the walls for paint. This week is restaurant week by my house, so I think I'm going to try a new place.

    3) AW/FFC/UO/etc? I agree with @poppies717 about the people that are thankful for the 30 days of November. Drive me nuts! Plus my brother and sister are in Key West this week with my dad and his wife. I'm totally pissed that they planned a vacation during my blackout time at work. I hope it rains all week.

  • 1) Weekend was, obviously, a-freaking-mazing. Didn't actually do much of anything, though.

    2) Just have work on the agenda for the week. Committee meetings going on 3 days in a row at work (thankfully none of which I need to go to). DH's birthday is next week, EEP! I need to get his gift ordered!

    3) Nothing new to AW. And I 100% agree with Poppies' UOs. WTF, businesses? Let your employees have a day off to spend with their families!

  • 1) My weekend was a mix of relaxing and productive. We spent a lot of time laying around watching tv and movies but we also cleaned, did laundry and used the leaf blower to get 6 big truck loads of leaves out of my parents yard.

    2) My week consists of working, dealing with HR because I'm trying to get a horrible person fired, and forcing myself to go to the gym because I've really been slacking lately.

    3) FFC: I got to see the professional pictures from my sister's wedding and I think my wedding, which was more than $10k cheaper, was so much prettier.

  • 1) My weekend was fairly uneventful. In light of our most recent failure, we've started spending a bit more than usual- super nice dinner out Friday, shopping Saturday. I definitely need to reel it back in ASAP!

    2) This week should be crazy with work. It seems like during short weeks everyone wants to cram a 5 day workweek in! Big SEC game this weekend with some friends coming down to tailgate, so really looking forward to that.

    3) Totally agree with poppies on both counts. I am huge Black Friday shopper, but it needs to stay just that- on Friday.

  • Good Monday morning all! I hope your days go smoothly!

    1) How was your weekend?
It was nice, I was off Friday and Today, so a 4 day weekend. I went on a multiple mile hike both Friday and Saturday. And I've been doing to 30 day plank challenge.

    2) What's on the agenda for your week?
Today I am meeting MIL for lunch. I work tomorrow and weds, off Thursday and only go in for a few hours Friday. Thursday is our village wide celebration for work which includes a nice dinner out.

    3) AW/FFC/UO/etc?
I slept from 8PM until 9 this morning and it was glorious!
  • My weekend was good. Pretty relaxing, so that's nice.

I don't have much on tap for this week. My life is super exciting, lol. My H has to work late a few evenings this week, so At least I don't have to cook much.

My FFC is that I watched way too much Downton Abby yesterday. I'm obsessed now.

  • Happy Monday, ladies!

    1) How was your weekend?
Pretty good. We got a lot of errands done on Saturday and I finally made a book out of all our wedding cards.  It took me about 15 minutes and I love it. Saturday we went out for dinner with friends, which is always nice.  Yesterday we went food shopping and were lazy the rest of the day. It was nice.

    2) What's on the agenda for your week?
    The usual... work. Nothing exciting.

    3) AW/FFC/UO/etc?
Totally agree with PPs about businesses being open on Thanksgiving. Also, I think Movember is stupid.  If you want to raise awareness for something, great.  Don't do it by growing a mustache.  You're not Tom Selleck. If I want to donate to a worthy cause I will, but not because you decided not to shave.

  • 1) How was your weekend?
It was good. Birthday party on Saturday and Sunday. Found out Step-SIL has been talking about how upset she is that I haven't reached out to her wanting to talk about what happened recently (she had a loss too). Didn't realize I had to, now I really don't want to talk to her. I appreciate her reaching out, but we are NOT close.
    2) What's on the agenda for your week?
Waiting for SIL to have my nephew. I thought it would be this weekend.
    3) AW/FFC/UO/etc?
I had something, but now I forgot it. Just wanted to share this now

  • 1) How was your weekend? Good! We didn't have anything planned so it was kind of nice to just do whatever on Saturday and yesterday took an impromptu trip across the state to do touristy things.

    2) What's on the agenda for your week? Work & school

    3) AW/FFC/UO/etc? I almost checked in on FB at one of the places we went to yesterday until I realized that I was within a half hour of family that would have been offended we were that close without stopping by. But it was nice to wander around without an agenda.

  • @poppies717 - You make me feel less bummed we didn't go to Thor on Friday. A lack of shirtless Thor is definitely  not worth the $20!

@sparklingdiamond - Woohoo for house progress!

@ljraff29 - Do we get to see before/after pics? :)

@LuckyAngel07 - Again, so freaking excited for you!!

    1. How was your weekend? It was productive! I'll save the details for my AW in #3 ;)
    2. What's on the agenda for your week? ST tonight, followed by church group (mua ha ha... O:-) ), then business as usual this week. Should be pretty chill.
    3. AW/FFC/UO/etc? AW - So this weekend I went crazy with organizing, cleaning, and de-cluttering. I cleaned and organized the garage, cleaned the car inside and out, raked our leaves, cleaned the house, did all of the laundry, bathed/blow dried the dog, grocery shopped, and even got in some reading and knitting, a hill workout with the pup, and a mountain bike ride in there yesterday, too (I never thought I'd do that alone!). I'm productive when H is out of town I guess :) Ok, that's the end of my gross AW!

  • 1) Weekend was nice, DH and I got to spend Saturday together doing things around the house and not bothered by anyone.

    2) This week, we might have our sheetrocker come and start doing out basement and master suite. I am sooooo excited to see progress.

    3) I guess this is aFFC - the cleaning ladies are at my office and my boss who can be very very nasty said something to them about cleaning a certain area after she asked 3 other people to say something and she was just down right RUDE. • Happy Monday everyone!

    1) How was your weekend? Our weekend turned  out better than I thought! My ILs came down and we celebrated our birthdays with them and my parents Saturday night and then with my dads side on Sunday!

    2) What's on the agenda for your week? Normal teaching, BR shifts this week. R's birthday is Tuesday and mine is next Sunday. On Saturday we are having "date day" for our birthday and most likely going back to where we had our first date! We both thought of the idea separately this morning, so I'm guessing it was meant to happen!

    3) AW/FFC/UO/etc? Nada

  • @nberg89 -- AW is attention whore. Used when you have something to brag about or show off.

FFC is flame-free confession. Used to admit something that some people would judge you for. Note that labeling it flame free does not guarantee you won't be flamed. :P

UO is unpopular opinion. Similar to FFC but doesn't usually include action. Just opinions.
