Do you have set sides of the bed?

Re: Do you have set sides of the bed?

  • Yes and no. We are both blanket hogs so we can not share, we've even stolen our king size blankets from each other.

We have our bed pushed up against the wall and I like sleeping by the wall. It's a comfort thing for me. I do know during the week since he works nights so we don't sleep together, he sleeps on my side.

  • Yep. we have our sides and we share blankets. We share so much that I usually give my half of the comforter to hubs almost every night! I get SUPER hot, no matter what the temp is, so I end up throwing my half over on him and just sleeping under the sheet.

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

  • I have to sleep on the outside of the bed wherever we are. I don't care if it's right or left as long as I'm not trapped against a wall.

I need to be able to run in the event of a zombie apocalypse!!!

  • oh yes, we definetly have our own sides of the bed. even if we leave town and stay somewhere else like a hotel or friends house we sleep in the same spot.

and we do share the covers

  • Yes and yes. We both sleep like the dead so separate blankets aren't needed :) We have a heated blanket that has separate controls for each side so if I do get cold I can just crank that puppy up and H won't burn up.

  • We inadvertently do.  Mine always seems to be the side furthest from the door, too.  Interesting...

  • Yes and yes. My H always sleeps closest to the door. No matter where we are.  As for blankets, well we do share, he kicks them off a lot and I wake up grabbing for the blankets, lol but we do share.  I keep the bigger blanket closest to me.  :)

  • Hahaha...I am the one that ends up kicking them off at some point in the night and my DH is the cover stealer...or is that the dog...

  • Yes and yes.  I always have to be furthest from the door, no matter if we are at home or some where else.  He has to be able to protect me.  We've always shared the blanket.  I think it would feel weird not to.

  • Yes we have our own sides. And we share a blanket, but DH has an extra one because I have a tendency to steal "our" blanket and cocoon myself into it! He has tried to take it back, but I'm a fighter, even in my sleep  ;-)

  • Yes and Yes. He's always on my left. Not only in the bed, but at tables, on the couch.... very rarely is he on my right.  It sounds OCD, but it's because he's an adorably lefty and I'm a righty so it just makes life easier with our more capable sides out. :)

  • I'm always on his right, by his choice more than mine. We usually share but sometimes I add to it.
