Re: 3 for 3

  • @rockabye - your musical talents amaze me! I am very very jealous.

I didn't say I was very GOOD at them. ;) Truthfully, I am not naturally talented when it comes to music.. I have to work at it. I took piano lessons for almost 17 years and I am no where NEAR as good as I should be. I hated lessons as a kid, but I enjoy it a lot more now that I'm older and can play for fun.

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

  • @dangermuffin23, I am the same way. I have to always be early, and panic if I'm going to be on time. I am currently sitting in my car because I'm 30 minutes early for a work get together.

@PandPmeant2B- none of my piercings are in my ears. I'm happy to see another "freak" on here ;-)
  • And for @madeofawesome . . . I don't know if this is a grasshopper or cricket, but I was driving down the street with the windows closed when something smashed into my face and then I saw this on my steering wheel. I shrieked like a little girl, and then laughed at myself.

  • Sorry about your day, LL.
    1. I would still sleep with my stuffed puffalump if I weren't worried about my dog thinking it was his toy.
    2. For as much as I love the Pirates now, I hated them when I was little bc they beat the Os in the 79 World Series. 6 years before I was born.
    3. I was only allowed to listen to musicals and Christian music growing up, so my music knowledge is woeful. Except for musicals. I'm awesome with those.
    4. I played a stepsister my senior year in my schools production of Cinderella.
    5. Also in high school, I won most clueless/most ditzy every activity that I did that handed out superlatives. So I won it 20 times in 4 years.

  • @Aimothy - meatloaf is the freakin fruitcake of meats.
    1. I'm granola. Most people IRL have no idea how crunchy I'd like to be. I make my own toothpaste, drink kombucha on the regs, compost, all that jazz. I can't stand to be around people who talk about this crap 24/7 though.
    2. I hate shopping. Making choices in a store gives me the scoots. Seriously, if I'm stopped up all I need to do is go to the card section at Target before mother's day.
    3. I currently have two torn meniscuses. Meniscus's? Menisci?
    4. I wrestled in high school.
    5. I think winter is way better than summer.
And if anyone IRL is lurking, they now know for sure who I am. Schwing!

    4) I only buy purses on big discounts in the store.
    5) I'd rather go out to a chain restaurant than some fancy schmancy place.

    1. I love to travel and explore new places but hate flying. My palms are sweating thinking about my flight to Hawaii next month.

    2. I'd drink wine over anything any day.

    3. I work in a profession where extroversion is a must, but I enjoy being alone.

    4. I think I'm going to win the HGTV dream home every single year.

    5. I am so type A. After meeting with my therapist I finally feel like I met someone who really understands why I go down every single possibility with every situation. I'm also, of course, a control freak.

  • 1. I am over 15" shorter than my hubby.

    2. I am left handed.

    3. I have post-traumatic stress disorder about people choking from a series of events ranging from my little brother who stopped breathing in my mom's arms when he was under a year old (he is fine now), to a friend choking on a fireball on a school bus (she too was ok).  I still remember giving her the Heimlich and then having a full blown panic attack.

    4. I am afraid of the dark.  Legitimately sprint through the dark from the light switch in our bedroom and wish that nightlights weren't weird for adults to use. :)

    5. I am a licensed Athletic Trainer.  Not personal trainer, but athletic trainer.  The best way to describe is it, 'You know when that famous sports player goes down on the field (used loosely), and people run out to check on him/her, those are typically athletic trainers first and doctors follow later'.  It's a very misunderstood and underpaid profession which is why I'm not currently practicing.

  • I'm sorry looney...what a crappy day. :(

    1. I had cranial surgery as a baby and as a result have a massive scar.

    2. I skipped a grade in school.

    3. I am the oldest of three and the only one with blonde or curly hair.

    5. I also love the tomb raider video games! :)

  • @sgautschi - What grade?  I skipped 6th and therefore, my geography skills stink because that's the only grade they taught it in our district. :)
  • It was first/second grade. Basically I did the first half of the year in first and second half in second, the following year I went into third. I then went on to graduate high school in the top ten percent. ;)

That stinks you missed the only year they taught that. Although I was taught it and am still not that great at it. Lol

    1. The most important friendships I have in my life are with people I have met online.

    2. I wish I was an average height. I can appreciate being tall and it really helped me when I could play basketball before I got hurt, but now it just seems inconvenient.

    3. I am super blunt with my friends and people I care about which is why I usually can't hold on to girlfriends and why most of my friends are guys.

    4. My past is super crazy and while I have fond memories of those times, I am really thankful that Alan found me when he did because he probably saved my life.

    5. I have never used a hard ticket to get in to a Bruins game since being a season ticket holder. All of our ticket booklets remain untouched including the year they won the Stanley Cup.
