NBR-At what point do I knock on the wall??
So we live in an apartment and had some new neighbors move in next door a few weeks ago, that we haven't met. We never heard anything from the last neighbor (she even had a dog) so figured this would be the same. No such luck!! We have been woken up twice in the past few days by them having sex around 1:30 in the morning. Now I'm all for a good time but when your headboard is slamming against the shared wall of our apartments so hard that I'm woken from sleep in the middle of the night...that's another story!
Last Friday we actually switched our whole bedroom around so that our headboard would not be against the shared wall, thought that would do the trick, but sadly we were woken up at 1:30 last night to slam, slam, slam!! Plus it's not just the headboard that's loud...TMI I know!
So now we are trying to figure out what to do. Do we knock on the wall? Leave a friendly "stop having sex so loud" note on their door? Just ignore it and buy some ear plugs?
Any advice is appreciated!

We haven't seen them at all, after what we can hear I don't know if I want to!
I say - you and your H need to move your bed back against the shared wall, have a few drinks to loosen up, knock boots as LOUD AS YOU CAN at 1:30am. Maybe they'll get the point, maybe they won't... but you'll have fun in the process. (It's better than a boring ol', non-orgasmic note.)

I had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago, although we are in a house. We had new neighbors move in, and we would be woken at all hours of the night because of their "noises". They would leave their window and blinds open so it was clear as day. Nothing like getting up in the middle of the night to pee only to look out your bathroom window to see your neighbors doing it. I left a note on the door asking them to kindly close their window and blinds. They did so immediately...
