I really don't care either way but I'm intrigued by the thing being live so I may record it.

Definitely! It's my favorite movie. We don't have TV so I'm going to my mom's to watch it and having dinner with her and a friend of hers. I will admit, I'm a little scared of Carrie Underwood ruining it though...
I'll be DVRing it tonight-I have choir from 7-9 and then I'm hitting the gym for a bit. A live performance will be interesting
Whether or not you find your own way, you're bound to find some way. If you happen to find my way, please return it, as it was lost years ago. I imagine by now it's quite rusty.”
I will hate (secret love) watch it!! I'm going to drink everytime one of the kids makes a mistake on live television. Here is a list of props if you want to have a Sing-a-long Party while you watch tonight.
We are. It's Casey's favorite musical, and I'm excited to see how they tweak it.
Also, I was watching the making of special and it took me almost the entire hour of watching before I realized that was Vampire Bill. I felt like a dumbass.

I kinda hate TSoM! ::ducks:: My HS performed the musical when I was a Soph. My sister was a Sr & she was Maria (I was a nun! lol!). 4-ish months of being surrounded by TSoM was enough for me.
PLUS! I don't like that they are remaking it. Julie Andrews *is* Maria.
Confession - I've never seen the original Sound of Music. Not quite sure how that is possible since I'm a musical junkie and have sang my entire life.

I have volleyball from 7-10 tonight, so I won't be home. I wish I had DVR, though, because I really am curious about it. I love TSoM. But I agree with SnShne, Maria will forever and always be Julie Andrews at age 30 or whatever she was. And I really don't care for Carrie Underwood.

My plan as of right now is to DVR it and see people's reactions before I watch it. I love The Sound of Music and I like that this might introduce it to a whole new generation but Carrie is no Julie Andrews, I'm so torn (
I wish I could watch it but I have class from 6-9 tonight and we don't have cable (we tried getting the free stations but the altitude we live at is too low) or therefore a DVR....*sigh*....
I'm going to at least try to watch it. I think the casting (Carrie and Vampire Bill) is terrible, so I mostly want to see if it's going to be as bad as I think it will be.

How did I not even realize that Vampire Bill was in this?
I love The Sound of Music but can't imagine it with a different cast and am afraid it will be bad. It isn't that I dislike the people, but no one can measure up to the original cast! I'll probably DVR it and watch it later so I can skip the commercials.
