How is everyone today?

Who is going to be affected or is currently being affected by this crazy storm?  I was 72 yesterday morning and today it's 40! (I know I'm a wuss). We are driving to Dallas this afternoon, and I'm a little concerned about the roads but think it will be okay.  Anyone off today because of the crazy weather?

  • We should be closing the office early thanks to freezing rain and the threat of snow. I'm crossing my fingers!

  • It's raining here in the DC area today as the storm heads this way.  Sunday it'll be bad around here from that storm.

And today, I'm just stressed.  Nothing at my job site seems to be going right.

  • No being affected by the storm very much. It's just raining today and 40.

I'm pretty much checked out right now. I want to be home and staying busy so I don't think about TTC. I usually can manage better on weekends than weekdays. Today I'm just feeling bitter from the 2 recent PG announcements on facebook.

Stay safe to everyone that is getting the ice and snow today!! That is some scary weather!

  • Can't complain - it's Friday and I'm only a few hours away from leaving for the weekend!

No crazy weather here (that is out of the ordinary).

I have a dinner with my girlfriends to celebrate the holidays tonight so I'm excited to see them and try something new.

The only negative is I'm fighting a migraine and praying it doesn't get worse.  Right now it's just pain behind my eye and blurry vision plus nausea.  All that I can handle, but I need to keep the migraine away!

  • We're supposed to get 7"-10" of snow over the next two days, and the low is 0 degrees tonight, and -9 tomorrow night... winter is here! We finally got an AWD car a couple months ago, and it's nice to finally feel the benefits. I hope everyone stays safe and warm! (our furnace stopped working last night, so that's fun. They should be fixing it today though... FX)

  • It's gross out today, but not super stormy. Overcast, raining on and off, and around 50-ish. I'm enjoying wearing my riding boots and overly long-sleeved sweater (the sleeves come down over my hands - love it!).

Other than that, I'm doing okay today. Feeling better than I have the last couple of days. DH and I decided to try and foster a pup I saw on FB yesterday, but when I emailed about her this morning, they'd already found a foster to put her with. So, I made the commitment and filled out a couple of applications to foster for difference rescues. DH thinks it would be something good for us to do right now. I <3 him more and more lately going through all this.

I loved fostering! I think it will be great for you!

I'm afraid it's going to turn into pleurisy or pneumonia, I had one of our RNs listen to me and the lower half of my lungs have diminished sounds. I just hope it gets better and not worse!

  • It's been pretty rainy- yet unseasonably warm here, too!  Although, tomorrow I guess there might be snow? Should make for a fun time at the UCONN football game. \:D/  (<-- that's me dancing to try to stay warm.)

At this very moment, however, I'm dancing to stay awake. H and I didn't get back home from our little trip to NYC until 2am. We had an amazing time, though.  His folks treated us, and his younger sister & her H to a few days in the city as our Christmas gifts.  We pretty much didn't stop from the minute we got there on Monday night until we left last night.  We saw the Christmas Spectacular, Newsies, and Wicked! Wow.

Anyway, now I'm going 4 days of work and still trying to get out of here in time to enjoy H's company holiday party.

    Oh, all while staying awake.

    Totally worth it.

I'm pretty useless for the rest of the day because I had my hysteroscopy and D&C this morning so I'm planning on taking nap in a few minutes and then following that up with another nap.

  • @Xan921 - I hope you feel better soon!  Rest and relax as much as possible this weekend.

For central Texas, it is freaking cold outside!  Just two days ago, it was still 80 and now it's mid 30's.  H and I are going to the Baylor vs UT game tomorrow and I'm going to be freezing my booty off!

I'm just trying to make it through the work day.  I don't feel like doing much and I've been so emotional today.  I think I'm starting to get the Clomid Crazies.  I'm really looking forward to a glass (or five ;) ) of wine tonight at our company Christmas dinner.

  • @LuckyAngel07- I loved it.  Scratch that.  Loved isn't enough. I am so mad at myself for waiting 10 years to go see it- and I want to go see it every weekend.

@Xan921- Hope you are feeling okay! I have to have a hysteroscopy in January- to remove what they believe is a polyp, so I'm probably going to be throwing questions your way all over the place soon enough. But for now-  go take another nap!

I'm feeling much better after napping for a while.  Some of the meds I took made me feel nauseous and I was a bit sore, but after napping I feel pretty good.  I haven't needed to take any additional pain medication that they prescribed me yet.

@zamboni00, feel free to ask as much as you want.  I opted to stay awake during it rather than being put to sleep so I can give ya the play by play if you want.

Good luck!  Yeah, my doctor told me that I need 2 full days of doing nothing and just recovering and then it's 2 weeks of very light activity, not doing steps unless I have to, no going to the gym, no sex or baths, no heavy lifting extra bending, etc.  That's coming from my obgyn who did the surgery.  My RE said I'd only need to recover for a week but to listen to my body, so we'll see.
