I put the ball in DH's court just now. I told him that since I am spotting, my temps are down, and I'm cramping, there is no hope left for this cycle. That makes us starting cycle 13 this week.
I told him we can do 1 of 2 things:
1) buy an at home semen test kit, which I know is NOT the best choice, but at least this test will tell him yes your sperm is good or the only other result means something is off and you need to see a doctor. At least this way he can see for himself and be at home and comfortable.
2) he can go to the doctor with me and we can discuss where to go from here and have the doctor tell him he needs a semen analysis.
I knew he wouldn't choose the doctor option but I threw it in there with high hopes. He has now agreed to do the at home test first. I'm glad he has at least agreed to some kind of test, even if it is not something that will give us specific laboratory results.
It's a step...
So that's my update!

Cycle 13 is a crappy point to hit. That was harder for me than it was when I passed 1 year.
I'm glad YH at least conceded to the at-home test as a starting point. GL with it. I hope it shows good results.

"You know you're in love when you don't want to fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." - Dr. SeussIt's standard for docs to hold on further testing for you until YH gets the S/A done. His test is way less invasive than others for you can get, so if they can start by ruling him in/out, that makes sense to me for them to wait on testing you further.
You might try appealing to his financial side on this one. Our insurance covered DH's S/A 100% as part of our labwork benefit. If yours does the same, why shell out any money for a test to do at home that only provides a partial answer?
